Our strong, beautiful, beloved daughter and sister Diana, passed away in her sleep at 37 years young. Strong-willed and family-focused to the very end, she showed her determination to continue to fight her illness. She has now joined her fiancé Jon Davis, and many other beloved family and friends in Heaven.
Diana was unceasingly fearless. From growing up as the big sister to helping her parents till the very end, she didn’t give up. She faced much adversity in her final year but determined to overcome the illness and regain her health.
Over the years, she was an amazing sister, daughter and proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. Those nieces, nephews, and cousins were her whole world. She spent countless hours playing with them, calling them, and taking them on adventures. She had a heart of gold, and a soft spot for people and animals in need. She was a dog lover and had many animals including her dear April who she is now probably playing with in Heaven. Diana was passionate about her career. She spent decades with Six Flags over Texas and the number of friends who have become family is immeasurable. Her very best friends she got to work alongside for so many years.
Lastly, Diana was passionate about helping our service members, healthcare workers, and law enforcement and first responders. She spent hours making care packages, visiting memorials, and donating to causes for these hero’s. Even in her last days her concerns were always on these hero’s!
She always made every holiday or birthday feel special … Whether it was baking special treats, planning wonderful meals, crafting gifts or selecting gifts or cards for each of us she was such a giving individual. She loved making people’s special day by being apart of it.
We will forever miss her spunky attitude, her Christmas cutout cookies and desserts and mostly her generous spirit. We are sitting here now and seeing how much in BIG and LITTLE ways that she touched our hearts and souls and is a valued member of our family.
A heartfelt thank you to the nurses, friends and family who have stepped in to assist in our families time of need. We will forever be grateful for their professionalism, caring nature, and humor to help get us through this difficult time.
A memorial service for Diana will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM, followed by an inurnment service at 3:00 PM.
