Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church, 3521 Main St, Frisco, TX 75034. A visitation and viewing will from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Interment: 12 p.m. Thursday at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012. Per the family's request, please wear a face mask during services.
She was born to Iva Deane Smith and Herman David Smith in Dallas, Texas on March 25, 1951. She married Edwin Gailen Parker and they adopted Adam Wesley Parker and Timothy Alan Parker. Full of love and spice, she unashamedly raised her sons to be better than herself. She led with an example of service and giving back to the community. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco, and was a founding member of St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church in Arlington. Her many affiliations and philanthropic activities are innumerable, but she had a great passion for providing food to those who were in need. She is survived by her father, Herman David Smith of Frisco, Texas; her son, Timothy Alan Parker and his husband, Tomias Michael MarkAnthony, of Denton, Texas; her daughter, Devyn Ann Lin and her husband, Bryan J Lin, of Plano, Texas; and her grandson, Aaron Wesley Burch-Parker of Plano, Texas.
