Deanna Woolley

Deanna Jean Whittaker Woolley, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Deanna was born on March 15, 1940 in Fremont, Ohio to Alvin and Dolores Whittaker. She graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Fremont, Ohio in 1957. She went on to earn her degree in Secretarial Skills from Ohio University. After graduating from college, Deanna moved to Torrance, California. It is there that she met the love of her life, Monte Woolley. Monte swept her off her feet with his charm and charisma. They were married in 1969. In 1971, their first child, Jennifer, was born. Shortly after, they moved to Dallas, Texas their son, Matthew, was born in 1973.

Deanna and Monte found a small quiet town, called Arlington, where they moved to raise their family. They built a wonderful life there and the love they shared was admired by all who knew them. Their home in Interlochen welcomed many friends and family over the years who cherish those memories to this day. After Monte passed away in 2007, Deanna officially retired. She had over 40 years of work experience including time with Raytheon, Thorson Company, and Data Marketing. Deanna enjoyed her retirement years being a voracious reader and spending time with her family. She especially treasured her time with her grandchildren and they looked forward to each visit with her. They called her grandma and they absolutely loved and adored her! Deanna had the kind of personality that filled a room when she entered it. She was gregarious and you were drawn to her warm smile, her sense of humor, and her caring heart. She was always bubbly, charming, and was full of life to her last day.

Deanna is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Davis and her husband, Mark, their kids, Truman and Cash, her son, Matt, his kids, Cooper, Max, and Jake, her stepsons Mitch Woolley, and his wife Jaime, their kids Ivan and Stephanie, Chris Woolley and his wife, Samantha, and their kids, Sean, Faye, and Jack, and her brother Michael Whittaker, and his wife Linda, along with their kids Tiffany and Lori, as well as many more nieces, nephews, family members, loving friends and neighbors, as well as her very first great grandson.

Deanna is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Dolores Whittaker, and her husband, Monte Woolley.

A memorial service is scheduled at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 4th, immediately followed by a reception at 2:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr, Arlington, Tx.
