David Howell was born in Belton, TX and was raised on a ranch west of Killeen, TX. He was born to Nevitt and Agness Howell the oldest of three children; David, Betty, and Coley. David graduated South West College (now Texas State University) in San Marcos with an Undergraduate in Agriculture, eventually earning a Master’s in School Administration. David and Martha met in college and were married April 14, 1960 after graduation and moved to Eagle Pass, TX where they both began their teaching careers. In Eagle Pass Debbie was born. From Eagle Pass they moved to Killeen where David continued teaching in High School for 9 years. In 1968 he began his sales career with World Book Encyclopedia’s and in 1971 David moved his family to Arlington, TX where he worked for a School Supply Company and continued his successful sales career with School Specialties until his retirement. David was proud of his family and all of their accomplishments.
Left to cherish his memory are wife of 57 years, Martha Howell; daughter, Debbie Robinson and husband Mark Robinson; granddaughter, Sarah Pinyan and husband Caleb Pinyan; Great grandchildren, JoLee Harper and John Hunter Pinyan; Sister, Betty Graef and husband Dick Graef; sister-in-law Mary Howell Spencer.
