David E. Clark, age 79, of Bowie, Texas, joined his loving wife in heaven on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. A husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, we will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, Texas 76016 at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 21, 2024. A reception will immediately follow the service at Lake Arlington: “Kathryn Wilemon Lake House Event Center,” 6021 W. Arkansas Lane, Arlington, TX 76016 817-451-6860. Everyone is welcome. Inurnment to follow the reception at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211 at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday May 21, 2024.
David was born on February 4, 1945 in Dallas, Texas, to Worth Douglas and Violet Linley Clark. He met and fell in love with Lois Hayden, marrying her just before shipping out to fight for our country in the Vietnam War. Together they raised two daughters. They owned and ran two Kwik Kopy Printing shops, one in Arlington and one in Fort Worth. David worked and retired from Delta Airlines. He was also a hot air balloon pilot that flew his Neon Nights balloon in several festivals from Plano, Albuquerque, and even France, with his wife and family as his chase crew.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hayden Clark; his parents, Worth Douglas Clark and Violet Linley Clark; and his sisters, Cindy Pittman and Linda Stevens.
He leaves behind his daughters, April Tipton and her husband, Jesse Tipton, and Kimberly Caraway and her husband, Paul Caraway; his grandchildren, Kristen Sears, David Tipton and Clark Caraway; his great-granddaughter, Raylinn Bandy; along with his siblings, Worth Cornelius Clark and wife, Gay, and Brenda Fehlbaum and husband, Jean; and many nieces and nephews.
