Darlene Bailey Townsend

Darlene Bailey Townsend, 70, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on January 8, 2017. Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens.

Darlene Bailey was born July 19, 1946 in Waxahachie, Texas to Marlin D Bailey and Iris Carroll Bailey. She graduated from Arlington High School. She married Larry Townsend on October 28, 1968 in Arlington. Darlene worked in sales management for Redifussion and Evans & Sutherland. She loved scrapbooking, traveling the world, riding motorcycles, and scuba diving.

Mrs. Townsend was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Chester Jordan, brother, Marty Bailey, and nephew, William Bailey.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Larry Townsend, children: Nicole Wooldridge and Scot Townsend, grandchildren: Valerie Townsend, Justin Townsend, Austin Woolridge, Jake Wooldridge, great-grandchildren: Lucy Townsend and Scarlet Townsend.
