Daniel John Brett (44), Our Hero, Protector, Son, Father, Friend and Beloved Husband passed away on July 5, 2023. Daniel was born on April 12, 1979 to Donald William & Diana Joy Brett in Arlington, TX. He was raised in Arlington with his brother David Brett.
Daniel attended Rankin Elementary, Hutchison Jr High and then graduated in 1998 from Sam Houston High School where he played football as a defensive lineman and was on the wrestling team. He attended Missouri Valley College on a Wrestling Scholarship and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in 2003.
After college he returned to Arlington where he was blessed with his first son, Wesley, in 2004. In 2006 Daniel enlisted in the United States Army where he spent the next 10 years becoming a Sargent and serving 15 months in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Daniel enjoyed being a combative instructor and participating in many martial arts events.
In 2010 Daniels second son, Tanner was born in Colorado Springs.
During the summer of 2014 Daniel reconnected with Natalie and the two became inseparable. Daniel proposed to vow his life to Natalie and her four children in December of 2015. The two were later married on October 1st, 2016. Daniel was sure to show Natalie every day they spent together that she was the love of his life and soulmate.
Daniel was preceded in death by his Father, Donald William Brett and Uncle, John Ruther Saul. Daniel is survived by his Mother, Diana Joy Brett, Brother, David Brett and wife Heather Brett, nieces Callie and Presley Brett, nephew, William Brett, his wife, Natalie Brett and children, Zachary Harris, Aiden Yandle, Wesley Smalley, Teala Yandle, Lucas Yandle and Tanner Brett. Daniel was a decorated veteran, a wonderful father, exceptional son, dear friend to many and loving husband. He will be missed dearly.
