Connie L Grogan

Connie was born in Braddock, PA on December 30, 1941 to Mildred Appleby Hainsey (Weed) and Howard Ellis Hainsey. Her family moved to Handley, Texas in 1950 where she attended Handley High School. After high school, she soon met the love of her life, Patrick Joseph Grogan. They celebrated 42 years of marriage until Pat’s passing in August of 2001.

Early in her life Connie worked as a switchboard operator for a doctor’s answering service in Fort Worth, TX. She was also active in the Fort Worth Police Wives’ Association, always supportive of Pat’s Police career while raising two active boys at their home in White Settlement, TX where she often volunteered as team mother for the various sports her sons participated in. Connie worked as a receptionist for several years at the Fort Worth P.D. East Side Sector and she also enjoyed volunteering at Harris Hospital Southwest working with patient’s families in the ER. Connie always had a special place in her heart for her beloved pets.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, and eldest sister Judy Thomas, she is survived by her two sons, Larry Grogan and wife Anita of Willow Park, TX and Danny Grogan and wife Kenna-Sue of White Settlement, TX, seven grandchildren - Cody, Lacey, Matthew, Tristan, Kyle, Alicia and John plus fourteen great-grandchildren, sister Carole Hall Ramsey and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for Connie will be held Monday, February 21, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
