Christine Eve Burton

Christine E. Burton entered into this world on Thursday, July 27, 1950 she went home to be with the Lord on Friday October 5, 2018. Christine was the second daughter of Joseph Lee Burton, Sr. and Eunice E. Burton. Christine was raised in Newark, New Jersey where she attended Bergen st school and Clinton Pl Junior High school. Throughout her childhood Christine attended Sunday school and she was always active with a small group of close friends. After graduating from South Side High School, Christine attended Essex County College, later on becoming a medical transcriber working for the College of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark for a number of years. Subsequently, Christine moved to Browns Mills, N.J., where she was employed by the State of New Jersey as a Residential Counselor for the Willow Glen Academy, until her retirement in 2005. Christine relocated to Hutto, Texas in March, 2017 where she enjoyed the year round warm sunny weather and spending her time with family and attending church. Christine was preceded in home going by her beloved father, brother Joseph Lee Burton, Jr and son Hason Kareem Burton. Mourning her passing are her mother, Eunice Burton, sister Marie Candies, nephew Morris Jones, niece, Nicole Green, daughter Ashley White, nephews Walter Candies, Jr, Wesley Burton, William Burton, great nieces Bethany, Ariana, Victoria, Violet, great nephews Joseph Candies, Taevon Barber, Wesley Burton Jr, Giuseppe Burton, in addition to a host of friends. In closing we are comforted by 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
