Funeral: 10:00 am Wednesday at Woods Chapel Baptist Church (Arlington), followed by interment at Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home on N. Davis in Arlington.
Born on July 11, 1929, in New Albany (Union County), MS, to Martha Evenor Messer Parker and Will Lee Parker. Charles married Frances Daniel Parker, and together they had three children, Dale, Larry and Lisa. He was a born-again Christian and a member of Woods Chapel Baptist Church since 1974, where he served as a deacon for many years.
Mr. Parker was the District Manager for Hancock Fabrics in Texas for many years, where he distinguished himself with his strong work ethic. He was artistically gifted with excellent penmanship and enjoyed designing newspaper ads for the district stores. He was an avid bird hunter and bowler. In his later years he really enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
He adored children and always put family first. Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Frances Daniel Parker, parents Will Lee and Martha Evenor Parker, brother Melvin Parker, brother- and sister-in-law W. C. and Ruby Daniel and mother- and father-in-law Dell and Roy Daniel.
Survivors: Daughter: Dale Parker Boulware (husband Dan); Son: Larry Parker (wife Susan); Daughter: Lisa Parker; Grandchildren: Al Boulware (wife Sasha); Katherine Sims (husband Tyler); Caroline Kincheloe (husband Eric), and Chandler Dreyer; Great-Grandchildren: Sofia, Stuart and John Boulware, and Kennedy Parker Kincheloe; Brother: Allen Parker (wife Joan); sister-in-law: Joanne Parker, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends.
