Charles Franklin O'Banion

Funeral: 2:00pm Monday, March 2 at Moore Funeral Home, followed by the interment at Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation preceding funeral beginning at 12:00pm.

Charles was born to the late John and Lena O'Banion on January 3, 1940 in Lufkin, Tx. Charles was married to his beloved wife Sue for 57 years and they were blessed with two children, Sheila and Brit.

Charles was a respected member of the Fort Worth Home Builders Association and the Certified Master Builder Program in the metroplex for many years until he retired to Ruidoso, NM in 2006. He loved spending time in the mountains with family and friends.

Charles was an active member at Tate Springs Baptist Church in Arlington where he served as a deacon for many years. Upon retirement to Ruidoso, he continued his service to the Lord at J Bar J Country Church.

Survivors: Wife, Sue O'Banion; daughter, Sheila O'Banion of Kennedale; son, Brit O'Banion and wife, Lori; 3 loving granddaughters, Brynn, Kyndall & Eryn O'Banion of Fort Worth. Sister, Carolyn Bardwell and husband, Paul; brother, Doug O'Banion and wife, Sharon. Nephews Mike, Patrick, Kelly, Donny and Tyler O'Banion and spouses, Paul Bardwell, Jr., Bryan and Britton Lee Harris; his ever-loyal furry companion, Bruno; and numerous other family and friends.
