He was born on January 8, 1953 in Harrison County, TX. He was the oldest of six children. He attended Highland Park High School where he played basketball and graduated in 1971. After high school, he attended Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas. He played basketball there as well and graduated class of 1975 with a degree in business.
At Kansas Wesleyan University, he met Gwendolyn Faye Green and they married on December 19, 1972. They had 3 children together and created a beautiful home full of love, support, and encouragement.
Charles began his career in various management roles with Southwestern Bell/AT&T for almost 40 years up to retirement 3 years ago. He was well loved by his co-workers.
He loved to watched basketball and football. He was very serious about his fantasy leagues. He enjoyed barbecuing and traveling the world. He lived well, laughed often, and loved much. With his loving nature, he had the ability to meet people and make them think he knew them for a lifetime. People flocked to him.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Green Jr., Michael Green, and Whitney Green, and grandchildren. His sisters and brothers, Shirley Lindsey, Pam Owens, Linda Ford, Eugene Green and Willie Green.
