Charles Marion Cross Jr., age 81, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. In Arlington, Texas.
Charles Marion Cross Jr. was born on Wednesday July 29, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas to the parents of Charles Marion Cross Sr., and Elizabeth Anna.
Charles was raised in Ft Worth, Texas in the Riverside Neighborhood. He attended and graduated from Fulton High School in Atlanta, Georgia in 1960.
He served Honorably in the United States Navy as as ADJ2- Machinist Mate Petty Officer 2nd Class.
He married the Love of his life, Carolyn Ann Duckworth in 1963 and they had two children.
He was a Tool Room Machinist at Bell Helicopter & Carnation Can Company.
In his spare time Charles enjoyed car racing, building & flying model airplanes, and spending time with his family in many different locations . He enjoyed cruising and loved being near the ocean. He also loved being in the United States Navy.
Family and friends will always remember him a kind-hearted and welcoming person. He adored his family. He also loved tinkering in his workshop. He was a great example of being a follower of Jesus Christ!
He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles Cross, Sr, & Elizabeth Murr; grandson: Colton Cross Eldridge.
He is survived by the love of his life of 61 years, Carolyn Cross of Arlington, Texas; Sister: Priscilla Ryder and husband H. C. of Spring, Texas; Children: Charlyn Cross Eldridge and husband Mark of Arlington, Texas, Chris Cross and wife Wendy of North Richland Hills, Texas ; Grandchildren: Creighton Eldridge and wife Brittany, Caleb Eldridge, Jacob Cross, Jason Cross, and Joyce Cross; along with two nephews and two nieces.
Charles will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, relative, friend and colleague to all that knew and cared for him. Charles will be truly missed by many relatives and friends, cherishing all the good memories shared with him.
Visitation for Mr. Cross will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
The Committal Service will be held on July 9 @ 9:00 AM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
