Charles "Chuck" Greene, age 80 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2020. He was born on April 22, 1940 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Leo Greene and Eula Dalton Greene. Charles married Minnie Baker, and later married Linda Watkins who he shared 26 years together.
Chuck was born in Dallas and raised in Abilene, where he graduated in 1959 from Abilene High School. He then attended McMurry University in Abilene and received his Master's degree in 1983 from Texas Wesleyan University. Chuck taught school and coached for over 40 years, 32 of which were at Western Hills High School. Coach Chuck was active in coaching many sports, including: soccer, football, gymnastics, swimming, and little league. In his spare time, he enjoyed telling stories, spending time with his family, traveling, and was known for his great sense of humor.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda; children Forrest Glen Greene and wife Christina Russell, and Kelly Roberts; step-children Chris Weber and wife Carrie, and Suzy Landrum and husband Tony; grandchildren Andy O'Sullivan, Matt O'Sullivan, Gretchen O'Sullivan, Taylor Weber, Kylie Weber, Riley Landrum, Jake Landrum, Ben Landrum, Alex Roberts, Maggie Roberts, Harper Greene, McKenzie Greene, and Forrest Greene; sister Polly James; sister-in-law Julia Greene; nephews Jeff James, Jerry James, and Mark Greene; and first wife Minnie Baker Greene. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Tommy Greene.
