Catherine A Gilmore

Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials: May be made to Sisters of St. Mary Namur, 909 W. Shaw St., Fort Worth, Texas 76110, or to a charity of choice.

Catherine, or "Cass," was born April 4, 1933, in Norristown, Pa. She married Ralph in 1959 in Pennsylvania and moved to Texas in 1975. Catherine liked to spend. She spent time with her children, grandchildren and other family at home in Texas and traveling to the East Coast. She enjoyed spending time playing cards with her bridge groups at Rolling Hills Country Club. She also spent time volunteering at Theatre Arlington. She was affectionately known to many as "Mama Cass." Mama Cass always had everyone's favorite treats for them at the house or the bridge table. She was a devoted member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Fennell, and her sister, Mary Eleanor Magee.

Survivors: Husband of 52 years, Ralph E. Gilmore; daughters, Patricia Pierret (Steven) and Cathleen Guinn (Shawn); son, Ralph E. Gilmore Jr. (Ann D. DeAngelis); grandchildren, Kimberly, Geoffrey and Ann Pierret, Bridget and Patrick Gilmore, Meredith and Julia Guinn; brothers, George Fennell (Dolores Anne) and Andrew Fennell (Connie); and brother-in-law, Greg Magee.
