Carolyn graduated from Martin High School in Laredo, TX and attended UTEP. Carolyn worked as a police officer for Dallas Police Department and Dallas County Sheriff's Department. She was a member of First Christian Church Arlington and had a passion for her family and traveling.
She is survived by children, Karl Michael Hovey, John David Hovey, and Karen Willhoite; grandchildren, Brian Hovey, Lauren Bradley, Jacob Hovey, Megan Willhoite, Matthew Willhoite, Andrew Willhoite, Erin Hovey, and Tyler Hovey; sisters, Mary DeFranco, Ruth Osborne, and Sarah Ribniscky; brothers, Mickey Atkins, Tom Atkins, and David Atkins. She is proceeded in death by her sister, Margaret Atkins.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm on July 23, 2021 at First Christian Church 910 S. Collins, Arlington, TX.
