She was the beloved mother of Carol, David, Steve, and Joe; loving grandmother of Melody, Jamie, Little David, Trent, Tye, Crystal, Amber, Hannah, Brandon, Sarah, and Joey; Dearest great-grandmother of Esme, Khya, Ariana, Abigail, Benito Jr., Armando, Vicente, Jacob, Omar, and Abel; Cherished sister of Jean; Special cousin of Bill, Susie, and Paul. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mabel Davis, her brother Jarvis, nephew Dub, and her great-grandson, Julian.
Carolyn was a very gifted woman. One of her talents was crocheting. Our homes are filled with blankets, doilies and decorations she has made for us with love. Carolyn was an artist, her illustrations were published in children's books. Carolyn, along with her son Joe, loved the Texas Rangers. They would watch the baseball games together on the TV. Carolyn was a lover of animals, especially cats. She will be missed terribly by her cat Boo. Carolyn's presence, smile and hugs will be missed by all.
"Don't think of her as gone away, her journey's just begun. Life holds so many facts, this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting, from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and no years. Think how she must be wishing, that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness, can really pass away. Think of her as living, in the hearts of those she touched...for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much." Ellen Brenneman
