Carl David Winter

Carl “Poppy” Winter, passed away on December 8th, 2024 and is now free from all pain and suffering. Carl was an extraordinary husband, father, “Poppy”, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and coworker to so many.

He dedicated his days to working hard to provide for his family and instilled in his children the values of hard work and determination, teaching them that these qualities could overcome any shortcomings. In his final years of retirement, he cherished the time spent with his wife, beloved children and grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Georgiana Winter; Brother, Robert Winter, Sisters, Diana Faber and Debbie Ballinger; and his daughter, Diana Winter.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cynthia, sons, Marcus Carlson, Michael Winter, grandchildren, JC, Dakota, Debany, Landon, Jason, Marcy, Ruby, Bricen, Hunter, Lane and great grandchildren Emma and Everly. He is also survived by his siblings Cynthia Ross, Donna Herrman, Ron Winter, Frank Winter, Paula Van Horn, Stephen Winter and Tina Washabaugh who meant the world to him and always stood by his side.

The family is asking for prayers of peace and comfort as they navigate their loss.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 19th at Moore Funeral Home – 1219 N. Davis Dr. Arlington TX 76012. Visitation will be from 12-2pm, followed by the service at 2pm, and then we will lay him to rest at 3pm graveside.
