Cale Clark Stephenson Jr., 86 of Arlington Texas passed away unexpectedly Friday March 8, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be at Moore Funeral Home 1219 N. Davis St., Wednesday, March 13th , 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services , Thursday March 14, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 2020 S. Collins St., Arlington, Internment after the services at Moore cemetery with Masonic graveside services. The family ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to the Dallas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Cale was born January 6, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan. A charter member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Cale’s greatest love was to sing in the choir and with the Silver Serenaders, a senior choral group. Joined the Merchant Marines, July 10, 1944, serving as a cook on two Liberty ships, then enlisted in the Army in the early 50’s earning an honorable discharge in 1951. He retired from Murdock Machine and Engineering in 1993. He was a member of the Arlington Masonic Lodge #438. Cale also enjoyed camping and four wheeling with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Joan Wilson Stephenson, son Jeffery Stephenson, and great granddaughter, Rylie Stephenson.
Survived by children Catherine Carmichael, husband Jim of Cumming, GA.; Vickie Kruger, husband John of Yuma, AZ.; Clark Stephenson, wife Kay; Stewart Stephenson, wife Gayla of the Dallas area. He had 10 grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren; sisters Lue Vickery, husband Dan; Sue Mason, brother Bill Stephenson, wife Quida and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
