I deeply and genuinely miss Bryon. There are very few passing days that I don't think of him. Bryon was, in so many ways, a much loved and respected member of our family. He was a wonderful son-in-law, husband to Laura, father to Lyndsi & Landon, and father-in-law to Johnathon. His personality was most always "Beaming", even in his later frequent painful times. The huge number and variety of his circle of friends was a great testament to his character. He never spoke harshly about anyone. He was truly a great person and I loved him very much.

Bryon Weiss--
  Where does a person begin? I don't think there are enough superlative adjectives in the dictionary to describe you so I won't even try but we all know you fit them all.
  Bryon you were always an inspiration to all of us and especially to Johnathon. You set the best example of what love is in a marriage and friendships.. For that you set the bar for Johnathon and Lyndsi. May they have the marriage that you and Laura shared and may all of us aspire to be  the friend  to others that you were to us.
  Bryon I feel so blessed to have known you as a friend and part of the family and look forward to the day when I will see you again.

It was such a privilege to get to know him through Laura!  I was trying to fly Laura and Bryon back and forth while he was filming in Los Angeles.  Was always trying to save money and wanted more time with Laura. Could not find a more caring person!  We will all miss him.  Anne & Don Pittman, Arlington, Tx.

I worked on several film and television productions with Bryon.  He was one of the most wonderful human beings I have ever had the privilege of knowing.  He loved the Lord, his family and friends.  His personal strengths.....dependability, friendliness, trustworthiness, patience, sincerity and unselfishness were just a few of his characteristics.   You could not of been a friend of Bryon's without feeling you were in the presence of someone very special when you were with him.  We all miss him very much but know we will all hug him in a much better world someday.

To Bryon's Loving Family ~
One of my most vivid memories of Bryon was his wedding in February 2001 to the love of his life, Laura.  With Deidra & Joni on wedding steroids, Parker playing the piano, Laura was stunning in her breathtaking dress, Bryon's love for her was evident by his incredible smile and sparkling eyes.  Not only was he marrying his soulmate, but he was all in for the package deal…with Lyndsi and Landon!

Last summer, Victor and I enjoyed time at the Mycoskie river house.  In spite of Bryon being in constant pain, he was climbing all over the boat in preparation for launch.  Then scaling up the ladder high-up to re-organize the boat lines on the dock.  Watching how agile, fearless, and strong he was on a high wire was amazing!  On a good day, no one I know could do what he could do!

Bryon showed us all how to live life to its fullest everyday. His generous heart, kind soul, fearless grit and determination was like no other.  His character, charm, optimism, and his ability to love strong will always remain in my heart and mind.  He leaves a huge legacy in the hearts of all…especially Laura, Lyndsi, Landon, his family, and the multitude of friends who were blessed to know him!

It's really hard to sum up the 45 years that I knew and loved Bryon as my friend.  Most of the things I learned to do I learned alongside Bryon.  Riding horses of both the iron and hoofed variety (I'm sure you've all heard the story about the day we rode the pony into the Weiss family kitchen which was three steps up.....ponies go up stairs rather easily, but down not so much.....)  Sports of every variety, driving cars (sometimes legally and sometimes not), snowmobiles, rock concerts, water skiing, dating girls....most everything you learn as you grow from a boy to a man, I learned alongside my friend.  And, he was good at everything which always made it fun. I have so many memories to enjoy - and most of them pain free!  Stuntman was in his blood from an early age.  

After reading through all of these tributes it's easy to see that everyone has an equally impressive cache of memories.  It's clear that Bryon had a special knack of being everyone's best friend.  I'm also happy that he had an opportunity to become a Dad.  I know he truly cherished that role!

It's difficult for me to think about the fact that the person I've known for the longest in my life is no longer just a phone call away.... I miss my friend.

Bryon was the truest best friend anyone could ask for. We met at an early age and our families jelled together immediately. Though our lives took us separate ways our connection never missed a beat. "I love you like a brother" we would say.
All who knew Bryon was a best friend that's just the way he was. He had a natural way of making you feel special, I think it was because he cared and loved just like he lived....beautifully.
I am so Thankful that he was surrounded by so many wonderful people that loved him in his life. I'm glad that they got to know the gifts that Bryon had to give. I don't know them all but I guarantee that he made a positive impact upon each and every one of their lives.
When he met Laura, Lyndsi, and Landon, We embraced, I was so over joyed that I just had to kiss his face, knowing that he had found the love that completed him.. 
He loved his family, multitude of friends, and life. He had a fight in him that his disease could only conquer physically, His memory lives in all of us.
I can hear him now entering the gates of heaven " Lets get this right! little ones on the left and big ones on the right! Double up if you have to!"

It was one of the greatest privileges of my life to be one of so many of Bryon's friends.  I always looked up to Bryon and admired the way he treated everyone and especially the way he respected and treated kids.  It didn't matter who you were or what you had, because Bryon didn't care, he treated everyone with respect.  The eulogy that Johnathon gave really hit the nail on the head about Bryon.  Great job Johnathon.  Our love and blessings go out to Laura, Landon, Lyndsi and Johnathon.  We miss you Bryon.

I was introduced to Bryon by my son, James, who had worked along side Bryon on "Prison Break" for some considerable time so had a great understanding, genuine respect and deep affection for him.

We first called Bryon to work on "Season of the Witch".  This work was some big additional battle sequences shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana in the height of summer.  The costumes were actual vintage outfits of all the armies that fought in the crusades.  The main action we were brought on to do was entitled "The Arc of Time" and it was to depict the lead characters, Nick Cage and Ron Pearlman's, journey through the epic battles of the crusades.  We brought out about twenty-five stunt people and all had to perform fights as several different combatants every day.  All had costumes of Turks, Moors, Christian Crusaders and several other outfits of the different nation's peoples who took part in the epic battles of the crusades.

Bryon was already in state of deteriorating health to a level that most men would simply have not been able to, even if they had wanted to, participate.  Knowing this, myself, James, Jen Caputo and several other members of our team had all told Bryon to simply "get killed early"!  As the battles were simply mobs of sword and axe swinging warriors hacking at each other, it would be perfectly acceptable for Bryon to be one of the first victims and go down early to save his strength.  All the stunt people would fight each other as two armies then change costumes and go at it again as two different armies.  The heat was a hundred plus degrees every day and each heavy wool costume plus the even heavier armor, helmets, swords and other full weight weaponry meant each stunt performer was carrying almost their own weight again.  When each battle ended each combatant would be standing or lying in pools of sweat.  Battle after battle, the same event would occur…Instead of simply taking the first blow in his direction and falling to the dirt floor of the stage, where he could rest and conserve energy, Bryon would fight on and on, invariably being the last man standing.  His reasoning was he simply did not want to take the easy way out.  This in my mind became a sort of metaphor for Bryon and his life.  He would never be one to give up, not carry at least his weight (often other's too), lie down, and take the easy way out.  I realized it was not that he didn't want to, he actually couldn't do that.  He simply did not possess the human mechanism to give up.  I watched him do this on this movie and others after it such as "The Amazing Spiderman" and then "The Amazing Spiderman 2".  He always operated with this same attitude and drive.  I am very lucky in that I have travelled the world and met some incredible, amazing and wonderful people but I have never met anyone on earth that I have admired more than Bryon.  He made an impression on me as deep and as lasting as any man I have ever known.  He, for me personified the term "a gentle tough guy".

Bryon will never be defined by the horrible disease that cut his life short.  He will be remembered by the way he lived his life despite that disease.  In Bryon I saw not someone with an illness to feel sorry for but an incredible person who was an inspiration to try and live like.  I can only wish to be a fraction of the man that Bryon was.  In Bryon I saw a man that defined what life should be.  He loved his wife, Laura, his children, family, friends and profession.  He envied no one, was jealous of nothing, carried no hatred and wished for nothing in life except for more life to live.

One of my greatest memories of Bryon was when we had to do a quite dangerous sequence on "Season of the Witch" which involved ratcheting Jen Caputo from under water up into the air.  We needed someone with experience working in water to act as her water safety person.  I chose Bryon to be this person.  He questioned me on this decision asking if I thought he was really capable enough to perform the job.  I told him I chose him because I believed him, in spite of any ailments, to be the most capable person on the team to do the job.  I also told him that Jen felt the same way.  We both felt that if there were to be anyone that you would trust your life to it would be Bryon.  He was so incredibly proud to be put in that position and to be treated as a normal healthy stunt professional with an important job to do.  I took a picture of his reaction when I called out to him to check if he was all OK with the situation when he was standing by in the water.  This picture is the way I will always remember my friend and my hero, Bryon Weiss.

Blessings to those you have left behind, may Our Lord and savior grant us a cure to these ugly diseases, until then thank father you sent your son.

Bryon was deeply loved by my family and his sense of humor, smile, hugs and silly jokes are terribly missed. Bryon's zest for life and love of people was infectious and those who didn't know him really missed out. What a wonderful husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend he was! I've known very few people in my lifetime that have the ability to make everyone in a room feel important...but Bryon did! We cherish and hold close to our hearts our many memories of him and know that we will see him again someday. We love and miss you, Bryon!

What I miss most about Bryon not being here is his perpetual smile.  During his five year battle, every time I saw Bryon he had that infectious smile.  The last time I saw him was during a chemo session and even though it was obvious he was tired, he still managed several Bryon signature smiles.  About twenty years ago, I was helping Bryon rig for a rappel, I believe this was one of his first rappels for an audience.  He asked me several times if the rafter we had him tied off to was strong enough to support his weight.  Even though I am not sure I convinced him that it was "no worries", he kept that grin the whole time.  It is not often in this life that you have a friend like Bryon.  I knew that I could count on Bryon for loyalty, an honest opinion or a stuntman who would give 110%.  In 2007, he went with me to the Amazon where we did a stadium show for a Crusade in the middle of the Amazon.  Bryon was the Producer/AD.  He was efficient and of course cheerful which is tough duty in the Amazon.  The entire time I knew him, the only time I ever saw him upset was when we were visiting some of the children in the villages.  Bryon was a man with a big heart and a winning disposition.  I know we all miss him very much.  Don't worry, he'll be waiting at the top WITH A SMILE and a helping hand.

Bryon became my "adopted Brother" when I was only 11 years old. Bryon lit up our entire family. His greatest happiness was making others joyful which is what I loved about him. He was a good man. I'll always remember how he made us laugh continuously, listening to the stories he told and being a part of the pranks he pulled. There was never a dull moment when Bryon was around. I'm so thankful my children, Colton and Kaitlyn, had such an amazing Uncle to look up too. Bryon was a wonderful role model to them. They loved him dearly and looked up to him immensely. Bryon will be forever missed by us all. 
     Laura, Landon, Lyndsi and Johnathan- I'm so very thankful you all came into Bryon's life and to have you all in our family. We couldn't ask for more. I think the world of you all and love you very much.
     Bryon- You were the strongest man I knew. For all you were in our lives and for all the joy you brought, your memory will always be forever in my heart. Not a day goes by when I don't think of you. I'll miss you, love you always and I thank God I was blessed to be your "Texas Sister".

Bryon became a permanent member of our family at the age of 20. Immediately, I fell in love with his personality, charm and sweet spirit. I became his "Texas Moma"! He brought much joy to our family and I'll always cherish the wonderful memories I have with him. I thought of him as one of my own children and was very blessed he was part of our family. Bryon married Laura, the perfect wife for him and gained two amazing children, Lyndsi and Landon. There is now an Angel in heaven who touched the lives of many. He definitely touched mine. Bryon will be dearly missed.

TEXAS FAMILY-TEXAS DAD 

     My son, Hoby, introduced Bryon to our family while serving in the Marine Corps in the early 1980's. Bryon adopted us as his "Teas Family" just as I adopted him as my very own son. He referred to me as his "Texas Dad" and my wife Juanita, as his "Texas Moma," which he called her till the day he died. It was during this time Bryon knew he wanted to be in Texas indefinitely and he moved in with us shortly after his career in the Marine Corps ended. Bryon was then beginning a new career as a stunt man. Bryon also began living the life of a cowboy and learning to live on our farm. Bryon dearly loved this! Even after experiencing what an electric fence felt like...something he never forgot! I'll always remember Bryon driving my tractor with his Real Cowboy hat and with a Real Cow dog, which to his disappointment was a miniature Maltese! Bryon never let me hear the end of the "Cow Dog"! 
     I have many wonderful memories of Bryon...a couple being, going pheasant hunting in Kansas and going on fishing trips. Bryon loved catching good catfish. Even in the bitter cold, he never complained.
     When Bryon and Laura married, we were very greatful to have new family members and thought of Laura, Lyndsi and Landon as our own and always will. I'm so thankful Laura and the kids came into Bryon's life. 
     Laura, you could not have found a better man than Bryon, nor a better Father for Lyndsi and Landon. In return, he could not have found a better family than all of you. I'm so fortunate and happy to be a part of yours and Bryon's family. Laura, Landon, Lyndsi and Jonathan...I love you all. God sent Bryon to me as a young man. You will never know how much I loved Bryon. He was one of my boys.

Where do I start? Like so many, I have lots of memories of Bryon and our time together here on this earth. 
 
Growing up, the place to be was at Bernie and Bryon's house. I'm not sure how Charlotte put up with all us guys there, all the time! There was always something to do, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, highly competitive games of ping pong, pool or even poker.
 
Bryon, Bernie, Mike Boise and myself took a trip together in 1978 to Hawaii, Bryon was 15 years old and we were 16 with brand new drivers license. We stayed with my cousin and when we arrived they tossed us the keys to their spare car and we drove all over that island for 3 weeks. (yes the non-licensed 15 year old Bryon drove too) One story in particular from that trip, really sheds a little light on Bryon's future career. We hit EVERY beach we could find in that time frame but a trip to Waimea Bay Falls will always stick out in my mind. As we got to the waterfalls we see a local Hawaiian kid, about our age, playing a guitar and acting as a life guard for the people swimming and jumping from the falls. In true Bryon fashion he strikes up a conversation and 30 minutes later Bryon, Bernie and this kid were climbing to the highest part of the waterfalls, 75 feet above the water. The people that were swimming and jumping from the much lower side of the falls soon stopped to watch as if it were a part of a show. One by one, they jumped and howled like wolves all the way down to the lagoon. Needless to say Mike and I watched, as the crowd of mostly tourists, applauded the Weiss brothers from Ohio! 

Like so many, I could talk for hours about the things we did growing up in this small Ohio town and the people Bryon touched, however the impact Bryon had on so many lives after he left Union City is what I will never forget. As Hank (Moore), David (Hope) and I sat in the church, during Bryons funeral service, reflecting on our Junior high and High school years back home,  several hundred family and friends filled the church to share in the celebration of Bryons life.
 
Like many others, his love and friendship will always be a part of who I am.

One of the greatest gifts that Byron had, was being able to give the kids nicknames. I told him the story about Kyle and I getting into what you might say was a mild altercation at the Home Depot.  I was teasing and jacking with Kyle in the tool area, Kyle kind of went after me, and Byron just laughed and from then on, Kyle was now named Home Depot, and is still called that today.  I miss his sense of humor, I miss the way he could look at the world from a Bryon perspective and make it better!

It's probably true that most of Bryon's friends have known him a lot longer than I have!   Our friendship started over 10 years ago…I'm not sure why GOD put Bryon in my life or me in his, but HE did and we became good friends… I would like to say best friends!   I think by a certain age we have all of our best friends for life…but somehow Bryon and I became best friends!   Maybe it was the movie- making business that we had in common or our families or our kids or maybe our wives that we LOVE so much, both have shopping in common, we used to talk about that a lot (sorry girls)! 
 
For 5 of the 10 years that I have known Bryon he was fighting the fight.  I remember one day when Bryon and I were playing racquetball he told me he was sick.  I remember that day clearly like it was yesterday…I sat there listening (which BTW is not like me…not having anything to say) …I did not know what to say!  I remember we were having a great time playing racquetball and then during a break he told me.   I thought… wait a minute, we were just laughing and having a great time!   Just a minute earlier Bryon was smiling ear to ear with his infectious smile.   Now I'm listening  to what he was telling me and I was thinking to myself,  say something of substance…where  are those great words of wisdom you always seem to spout…or reach in your pocket and pull out a magic pill to make things right.   But NO…nothing!   I listened for a while and then in true Bryon- fashion he said “come on, let me beat you again”…and on the court we went.   After racquetball we went to lunch and we were just two guys doing normal stuff…things were back to normal in the world again!
 
During his 5 year struggle… Bryon and I hung out a lot!  He would call me up early in the morning and say “Chuckles (that's what he called me) wakey wakey hands off snakey…let go to lunch” (sorry for that…it's just funny)!   But during his battle many times he would call me and say let's go to breakfast or lunch after a Dr. Appointment…sometimes he would talk about any good news from the Dr.,  most of the time it was life as usual, talking about movie ideas, family or even our siblings (which we had a lot in common).  Mostly, I would sit and listen about his fight he was up against.  I'm not sure when it happened but early in his  battle…I realized that just being there for him was maybe the best I could do…in fact Bryon and I hung-out so much…that almost every time we were hanging out… Landon would call and say to Bryon that we must be having a bromance…We all got a good laugh and things were back to normal in the world once again! 
 
Late in his fight…one day we were doing some location scouting for a movie we were about to start shooting.   There were 4 of us in the car and we were all just doing normal working stuff that day…but all of the sudden Bryon started telling us that the Dr. had just told him he may only have 30 days left without a certain procedure he needed.  WOW…the mood in the car changed suddenly and no one said a word...for me…again, no words of wisdom or encouragement and no, I did not have a magic pill…again nothing!   Bryon sensed the mood had changed, but again, in true Bryon- fashion he broke the silence and said, “You know guys, if it is my time to go…I will just go and get Heaven ready for you guys, well, all except you Chuckles”!  We all burst into laughter and again for that moment…all was right in the world again! 
 
For Bryon…I hope I made a difference in his life …I hope my magic pill was in the form of laughter, friendship and love.   After all…it was all I had to give my friend that was full of life to the very end and who was always making me feel that  “Things Were Right In The World !
 
Bryon Weiss is my friend and I hope to continue our friendship in Heaven one day!

I'll never forget the day I got to see Bryon "the stuntman" in action!  Laura & Bryon were with us at Lake Texoma for 4th of July.   Being the jokester that he is and knowing I was afraid of deep water, he devised a plan with Laura & my husband Chuck to try and freak me out!  So, after watching Bryon ski beautifully in a cove across the lake, we headed back across the DEEP water for home. Bryon was driving the boat & skimming the water at about 100 miles an hour!   Well, next thing I know, without slowing down or missing a beat, he DIVES into the water from the driver's seat of that fast moving boat and Laura takes over the wheel!  REALLY?!  OMG!! WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!  I looked back in the DEEP water...and I was completely freaked out!  There he was swimming and smiling that smile!!  I couldn't believe my eyes...I had just witnessed a stunt from Bryon, the most incredible stuntman ever!

Bryon was the most "Courageous"," Inspirational ", and "Super' friend I've ever known.  I only wish I would have met him 20 years earlier.  One of my most
cherished memories was one really hot July day about 15 months into Bryon's
challenge.
We took a motorcycle trailer over to Jason Martin's shop to pick up his beloved Harley. Bryon was his usual upbeat and cheerful self but had just recently completed a round of Chemo. The heat was taking a toll on all of us..
We loaded his bike and headed home.
 Got to Bryon's and unloaded his motorcycle.  Bryon said he was going to take a rest.
We took  the trailer back to Bill Adams' home, unhooked it,and started home.Driving on Cooper St. I glanced in my rear view mirror and saw a motorcycle rider literally flying up on me-must have been going 70 mph+.
Thought to myself "who is this Wildman"? Prepared to give this rider a 
"are you crazy stare" instead I chuckled to myself. With his black hair 
straight out & smile on his face -it was Bryon.He never knew I saw him that
day and I never said anything because was he was just being Bryon- enjoying
and living Life to its fullest.
Few people come into our lives who really prepares us to handle "Adversity"
but Bryon Weiss provided the role model for me.

I've never met a man so happy and so excited to be alive as Bryon.  He has taught me so much about life just by how he appreciated every day.  He may have passed, but his memory lives on and I will continue to try and live life as he did; with undying passion and excitement...

Men like Bryon don't come along very often.  Our lives will be forever enriched because of Bryon's friendship.  We share many memories of our time spent with Bryon.  He was always interested in everyone and would listen and give his opinion whenever asked.  The smart people will try and pattern the way Bryon lived his life.  Every minute was spent accomplishing something positive.  He had no time for self pity or negativism.  Bryon will continue to be a role model to so many individuals.  We will miss his smiling face and intriguing stories.  We can only hope to fit half of what Bryon achieved in his much to short life.  We will always think of Bryon whenever we watch any action movie.   His inspiration will live in all of us.  Thank you for being our friend.

Bryon was such a special person.  He showed his love and caring daily with Laura, Lyndsi, and Landon.  He loved to laugh, tell stories, and be the life of so many groups.  One of my favorite memories is when Bryon rode in on a Harley for the finale of Brenda's Teacher of the Year program.  It was spectacular; he smiled ear to ear;  and he made a memory the electrified audience won't forget. Most of all, I remember and love the smile Laura always has when Bryon is the topic. Thank you for being such a great family for Bryon.  When I last visited, he told me that you guys were the reason he was able to fight so hard against the cancer.  He loved all of you very much.

He was a great friend to many.  I never ever heard him say anything negative to anyone or about anyone.  His glass always seemed to be more than half full.

He was a winner who always played hard till the end.  I remember back in high school, Mississinawa was just starting football.  His freshman year, we had 18 players.  So when we scrimmaged in practice, we could only run half the defense and half the offense.  One day, he was playing linebacker when we ran an option.  I thought I would keep the ball and cut up the middle.  WRONG!  I played 4 years of college football and Bryon hit me the hardest I was ever hit.  We didn't run that play again in practice.  In those days, the scoreboard was not always in our favor at the end of the game, but we were WINNERS.  Like Bryon, we all played hard till the end and left nothing on the field.  The scoreboard is not in Bryon's favor today, but he is a WINNER.  He fought hard to the end, and best of all, he was a great friend to us all.

Bryon was such a genuine and caring person. His positive attitude and strength of character is an inspiration to all of us. Bryon was a great dad and husband, and we were always inspired by the way he invested himself into the lives of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Like everyone that had the benefit of knowing Byron, we adored him.  There were just so many wonderful qualities to Bryon that touched and enriched all of us.  Along with being a devoted husband and father, Bryon had such a sincere interest and concern for his many friends.  He truly was one of the nicest guys we knew and we always looked forward to seeing and spending time with him.  

We feel so lucky to have known Bryon.  We miss him very much, but we'll always have such fond memories of him and his winning smile.

Bryon, the epitome of a great man. You loved life and made the best out of each day. You were the toughest guy we knew, yet managed to be just as sensitive and caring. You loved many things, but nothing as passionately as Laura, Lyndsi and Landon. It was very important to you to make life fun for everyone who crossed your path and to make instant friendships to last a lifetime.  You provided an example of what a real husband and father looks and acts like and chose to spend time making happy, fun, character building memories with family and friends. That smile lit up a room and in turn caused many more smiles to take up the call.  Everyone loved you Bryon, literally EVERYONE!!!! Thank you Laura, Lyndsi, and Landon for sharing him with all of us. You filled his world with love too and we all benefited. You were partners in his fight and maintained a positive attitude through it all. You brought peace to him and held his hand when he needed it the most. That is beautiful!  We will continue to pray for you and also to celebrate the life of you sweet Bryon. Bryon, 
I've had the privilege to grow up with you as one of people I looked up to. You had the ability to make everyone laugh. You were always there to support any of your friends who were going through hardships. You were one of the most courageous people that I know when hardships fell upon you. You showed me how to face adversity with determination and a positive attitude. I will always remember you as a role model, but mostly I will remember you as my Friend. Miss you and love you Bryon.

 It's difficult to express how heartbroken I am for you all. 
  God puts people in our lives for many reasons. It is obvious why he put Bryon into your lives; he simply belonged there. It was the perfect fit from the start, he needed you all and you needed him. He fell in love with all of you and was always grateful for that. He was always so proud of his family.
 Then God put you all into our lives and we have been so thankful for that. I have learned many lessons from Bryon over the years, too many really to list, but here are the top five.

Treat everyone like family:
 It has been said repeated over the course of the last couple months, that Bryon was such a welcoming guy. He never met a stranger. What a blessing that one man can have the family he was born into, his Texas family, his California family, and you, the family he chose. He treated everyone in the community like they were welcome to come in and have a seat, always asking about others and their families. I don't think I ever set in your living room without Bryon inquiring about what Jake and L.W. were up to. 

Everyone has a nickname:
I am convinced that Bryon's nicknames began with his inability to remember people's real names, but he hit on a truth in doing so. People like being noticed, and by giving names to habits or character traits it showed people that he noticed them. He always remembered where someone was from or what they did before he would remember their names. That's what made Bryon so endearing; he noticed YOU.

Miracles do happen:
I have been wearing that necklace for five years, praying for the same miracle everyday. I will admit that I have gotten mad at God for not granting that miracle. But, I think sometimes we focus so hard on the big miracle that we want to happen that we overlook all of the others that happen around us. I realize now there have been many miracles on the way; the right doctors, the right nurses, the right procedures, seeing Landon graduate, seeing Laura get teacher of the year, seeing Lyndsi down the aisle, dancing at her wedding are a few. But the biggest miracle was that you all found each other and that you were the perfect family to care for him and help deal with the harshest of realities. God knew Bryon deserved the best and he was blessed with the best.

Love is a power greater than death:
Bryon loved you all so much. That love kept him here on this Earth longer than many in his same condition. His love for you, and for others leaves an indelible mark that never washes away. I know I will never drive by a football field on Friday night, eat a meal with more than one fork, celebrate July 4th or Halloween without him crossing my mind.  I am so grateful for having him in our lives that I will cherish those memories forever. You will carry his memory and his love with you forever; death will never be able to take that away.


Positivism
No it's not a word, but we are talking about Bryon so it doesn't really matter. You can tell the character of a person when they are dealing with adversity. I am not talking about cancer here, I am talking about a boy who lost his father at a very young age and made an incredible life for himself. I mean REALLY think about it. He played college football, served our country, made a movie, acted with Chuch Norrris and many others. He met and married the love of his life and inherited his two dream children. These things don't happen to people who are not positive. The scientist in me knows that his positive energy attracted good things to him. He was contagious with it. He brought out the best in all of the people he encountered. At risk of sounding like a nerd; “The force was with him!” I have always felt he could do whatever he set his mind to, and it was due to positive thinking. I think that's still why I personally struggle with his death.

I love you all. Our family will be here no matter what you need.

I believe I worked with Bryon years ago in Gardena, CA at a place called the GW Club. He taught me how to dance to country music. The young man I recall had come to LA to become a stuntman. We lost touch after the club closed. If this is the same Bryon I knew, he was a kind, gentle, and down-to-earth man. I am sorry for your loss.  Mary Kleff

I am a cousin of Emil Weiss from Dayton &I knew him from the time hecame to the U.S.A. I lost track of him when I got married & moved to Baltimore Md.     You have always been such a joy to be around, making everyone around you smile and laugh. Patrick and I still remember the day he met you. You gave him a hard time at the Maroon & White game, which happened to be the first time Patrick met my parents. We are even more thankful that our last memory with you was our wedding day, making our special day even more special with you there to celebrate with us!

Through the gift of the resurrection we have the promise that Bryon and each of us will live again after this life.  I for one look forward with hope toward that glorious day when we will once again be reunited.

A charge for those he left behind:

"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

May each of us commit to visiting, watching over and assisting Lyndsi, Landon and Laura.  Not just in the coming days and weeks, but in the years to come.  And may we do so with the same love and compassion that our dear friend and brother has shown to each of us.  This is my prayer, and May God Bless us to do His work.

Bryon was nothing if not a kid at heart.  Whether it was making the boys chase the truck on the way to school known as Bernie Mac'n it, putting together the spook alley every Halloween, skiing on the lake throwing down dance moves he named the surfer, fakey, heartattack, and others, cheering on the Lamar Vikings  and calling out "right 14" every time as the guard pulled, or giving a nickname to every boy in the neighborhood.  He fit right in with the boys.  He loved them and they loved him.  There are literally dozens of boys and friends with names such as Skipper, Casanova, Pop-tart, Catfish, Kryptonite, Hotdog, Bumblebee, HomeDepot and many others that will carry a memory and a name given to them by our brother Bryan who was truly a child at heart.

My first memory of Bryon was when I was in 4th or 5th grade (Laura and Bryon were dating at the time), and Lyndsi and I decided to, once again, dress as the same thing for Halloween - this time, Harley Davidson biker chicks. We had Melissa Tucker's big annual Halloween party coming up, and so of course, Bryon and his friend Chip offered to drive us on their motorcycles from Lyndsi's house to the party. I remember the thrill of the ride (that is still to this day the only time I've ridden on a motorcycle), and how cool we felt pulling up to the party behind two hot young men. :) But that was Bryon - he found joy in bringing joy to other people, and that he did every single day of his life. My life and so many others have been made richer through knowing him.

Bryon, you are and always will be truly missed, but we know that you are Home now, laughing and singing with the angels in Heaven. I look forward to the day when I will see you again!

Laura, Landon, Lyndsi, and Johnathon - I love you all like my own family. You have been and will continue to be a blessing and inspiration to so many through your love, hope, courage, and strength. Bryon's spirit lives on through you!

BRYONSTRONG-
There are no truer words.  You brought "strong" to a whole new meaning.  What an impression you are to all of us.  We will always "Respect the Fight" that you so bravely did for so long and encourage all others to do the same!  I can hear you now telling the angels to "Coach'em Up" and to stop "Big Leaguing me."  A husband, father, brother and friend... We are all so blessed to have had you in our lives and look forward to seeing your smiling face in Heaven. 

A true angel, by all means of the word, got to go home to God on March 1, 2014.

In January of 1983 I just arrived at my Marine Corps duty station not knowing anyone. That was about to change as my new roommate Bryon Weiss who, having just arrived himself, welcomed me with a warm smile and greeting.  

After discovering we were both from Ohio we quickly formed a deep bond and friendship that would last for decades. Throughout our time in the Corps Bryon and I had a lot of great times while always having a friendly rivalry as to who could do what better than the other. In all, Bryon always got promoted first – even if it was in some cases by a few seconds (see attached picture).

Bryon was always humorous, easy going, funny…and LOVED to challenge you by saying he doubted if you could do some specific task or objective while his intention always was to push you on to success.  And, although Bryon was a “sweet” guy, more than one Marine (and I'm sure many others outside of the Marines) found out not to mess with the power of “Ox-Baker”.

After our time in the Corps we still stayed in touch and even if some time had gone by before we talked or got together, it ALWAYS seemed like yesterday. To all who have or have had a friend like this you know what a blessing it is. Bryon was that friend to me.

Last summer I was in NYC and after having what I would call 3 “inner-promptings” from the Lord to call Bryon – I did, only to discover he himself was in NYC doing a shoot. We quickly made plans to get together the next evening. It was a great time and it being my birthday made it all the more special. This would be the last time I would see him (tears welling up as I type this) so I truly thank the Lord that he made it possible to see my dear friend a final time.

As I said to him on our last phone call – I say again…..“I love you B-Dub and you will always be a brother”…and now in addition “I will never forget you and yes, once again, you got promoted first” :-)

Play it sweet in heaven. Cause thats right where you wanna be. I will never accept that you are gone. Cause your not. But a part of me will always be waiting for you to walk in and say "My babies! Give your uncle bryon a hug" I will miss walking in and seeing a football game on and you siting on the couch. I will miss all the exciting movie sets I get to go to with you. I will miss seeing your name on the credits of the best movies. And I will miss your jokes and smile and the way you see life. You fought for 5 years and you died fighting. You are my role model and my Uncle Bryon. Your at peace now. And I can't wait to join you when me time is done. I wish I got to see you more though. But I loved every moment with you. You haven't died. Cause you will live on in thousands of people's memories and you will inspire many more to come. I am so happy I am your niece and I got to know you for 14 years. I still believe you are gonna walk in at any moment and tell me it's all a dream. Love you Uncle Bryon. And I will always live bryonstrong.

We all know Bryon was the best. But he became even better when Laura, Lindsey and Landon came together  to be a family. It was awesome to witness Bryon find true love. And love he did. He bragged about Lindsey and Landon. And Laura... what a blessing to Bryon.

That was a wonderful video letting us see a glimpse in Bryon's wonderful life with his beautiful family.  I miss him greatly as a friend and regret we never got to make a film together.  We will be dedicating the movie Devil's Five, which Bryon was set to be one of the five directors, to honor his memory.  I hope to carry the humbleness and strength he displayed to me going forward.

Bryon was a true blessing to everyone that got the pleasure of meeting him. He had the greatest sense of humor, kindest heart and most positive attitude! He would always ask me about Marshall and tell his stories about college football. He was so energetic and passionate not only about what he had experienced but eager to learn more about others. Bryon always had a smile on and a big hug waiting for everyone. Bryon truly is the definition of Strong and has inspired everyone that crossed his path. I'm so blessed to have shared such wonderful memories with Bryon, Laura, Lyndsi and Landon. Bryon will be missed every day but his strength will continue to inspire us all! We love you Bryon!

It is no secret that Bryon was a special guy!! I was lucky enough to treat him the past two years of his fight with cancer. My favorite thing was that I got to use his story as motivation to other patients, and people in my own personal life. I would say, "I have a patient that has stage IV cancer, and has had it for 4 years, and is still a stunt man!" You would NEVER know he was even sick. The man was simply amazing! He was funny, and so sweet. I am touched by all my patients, but some find their way deeper in my heart than others. Bryon was so special not only to me but to everyone in our practice. We always looked forward to his visit. I pray that his family has peace, and I hope they know how special he was to us! Now Heaven has an entertainer! God bless everyone in this time of loss.

I have personally met some tough tough people throughout my lifetime, but not one of them come close to matching the strength and courage of Bryon Weiss. The humility and selflessness you continued to show throughout your lifetime Bryon was second to no one. I will miss everything about you my friend. Your smile, your laughter, your craziness, and most of all....the way that you always made others feel so good about themselves. I'am so thankful that you are finally out of pain and resting peacefully. Rest easy Bryon knowing that all the friends and family that love you and your Laura and the kids so much, will always have your back. We all pray to join you and Our Savior in his Kingdom, someday down the road.....and oh what a grand time it will be! The only regret I have in our friendship was not getting the chance to get to know you even better. You are gone in body, but your spirit will always be with each and every one of us who were granted the opportunity to spend time with you. I love you Bryon and will rest well every night  knowing that in due time.....we will meet again Brother!

Sometimes in life's journey, you meet people you will never forget.  Bryon is one of those people.  One of the first things we noticed about Bryon was his infectious smile - and how attentive he was to Laura.  Later we learned he was a stunt man, gifted with amazing strength ("Prison Break").  We later witnessed he was not only physically strong but incredibily strong in character.  He showed this toughness in his determined and courageous fight against cancer.  

It was obvious to anyone who knew Bryon how much he adored his family.  Laura, Lyndsi, and Landon - he loved talking about you and was so very proud of all of you.  We are sure that even now he is watching over you.

Bryon was just like another friend to me, and to Landon's other friends who got to know him. I'll never forget our times spent with him playing wiffle ball, or when Bryon "Bernie Macked" us when picking us up before school, and countless other memories.  I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to know such a great guy in my life.

Bryon was one of those men that treated everyone that he met as if they were his best friend. He was a great mentor to me growing up, and his example played a role in many aspects of my life including coaching kids basketball teams, and deciding to join the fight against disease by going to medical school.  When Rebeca and I were first married, he was the first to give us a name of one of his countless connections throughout the country in our effort to obtain her green card.  This is just the type of man Bryan was and always will be, always thinking of how he could help or assist others.  We will miss you, but know we will see you again!

Bryon was our son from another Mother. He considered us his California family. The respect, kindness and friendship will never be forgotten.  Our son Rick always called him the brother he never had.  He was an addition to our family that will be hard to replace ( probably never).  Rest in Peace Bryon and thanks for sharing your experiences with us when you stayed with us.  His courage over the last 5 years was an inspiration to all of us.  We're all stronger because of him and will look at each day as a gift not to be taken for granted.  I'll always remember the special times we had at family gatherings and his visits to New York with Laura and Lyndsi. Thank you, Bryon.  We're all better people because of you.

We will always remember Bryon as one of the nicest, kindest and most personable people one could ever have the fortune to know. He was a wonderful addition to the family. I want to share a couple of stories related to Bryon the stuntman. I went to see ‘Live Free or Die Hard' back in 2007 with one of Camille's nephews who was visiting us at the time. When we left the theater all we were talking about was a stunt that was one of the best we had ever seen. The next time I saw Bryon I told him about it. He informed me that he did that stunt. I also recall one Thanksgiving discussion with Bryon about a stunt called a J-turn that was made famous on the old ‘Rockford Files' TV show. He said he knew how to do it so I tried unsuccessfully to talk him into demonstrating the maneuver in a nearby parking lot. I wish I had known at the time that the trick was to tell him that a girl scout could probably do that car stunt.

We will miss him greatly. Our thoughts, love and prayers are with you.

How do you say goodbye to someone you instantly became friends with from the first handshake and hello.  Our conversations always started with how our families were doing and how proud we were of them.  Bryon loved Laura, Lyndsi and Landon very much.  I don't know why it seems the best ones are always taken way to early.  I know the good lord now has a good friend beside him and while I'm going to miss our conversations and the laughter I know I will see Bryon again.  Miss you buddy.

Bryon was Mark's neighbor in Lakewood in the 80's. He was an awesome man that radiated joy and love. We will see you in heaven someday brother.

Sherry & I both met Bryon when we worked on "Walker".  He was such a great guy and just so nice.  We missed each other when he was here in NY working on Spiderman as we worked different days.  I can't believe how he persevered.  He fought the fight and he will always be remembered fondly.  Prayers out to his family.  God Speed Bryon

We had the chance to meet up with Bryon when  in California visiting my brother and we spent part of afternoon with him and then he came back next morning and we had a long breakfest wonderfull to catch up. He was a great person and that wonderful smile. My thoughts and prayers to all the family at this sad time.

Bryon is one of the most amzing humans I have ever encountered in my life. He approached everything in life fearlessly and with the optimism of a child unaffected by the cynicism that life tends to impose on most mortals. "Ifs" were never allowed in conversations with Bryon as he was quick to correct and say "WHEN not IF". He would tell these incredible stories about things he had done that were amazing accomplishments by any standard and then play them down as if they were nothing at all. He always went out of his way to make everyone around him feel as good as he could even if he was feeling horrible. I've only known Bryon for 8 or 9 years but in that short time he became the best friend I have ever had. At his service I heard three different people say the exact same thing, "Bryon was the best friend I ever had" and I am absolutely sure that there were many many more people who felt that exact same way. I just want to thank Bryon for working so hard to stay on this planet for as long as he possibly could against all odds and through the incredible physical pain. I also want to thank Laura, Lyndsi, Landon and Johnathon for being so gracious by sharing his precious and limited time.

Even though Bryon left this earth way too early... let us rejoice knowing that Bryon is in Peace, in eternity, with our Glorious Lord and Savior.  Bryon is our Hero and will be truly missed by so many- as we cherish our special memories of him.

Everytime we saw Bryon, he had the biggest smile on his face. His smile instantly made everyone around him happier!  We will miss his warm heart, charm, stories and laughter but will cherish the memories forever. All our love and prayers.

I was fortunate enough to meet Bryon through working on the movie 'A Hit For A Hit' My acting experience is limited but he took a leap of faith on my abilities. He was always encouraging, patient, and cheerful even when he was feeling at his lowest. I feel very lucky to have known him.

I only met Bryon a handful of times through a friend. He and his wife were the perfect couple. I am praying for his wife, 2 kids, and the rest of his family.  GOD has Bryon in HIS hands.

We are so sorry for the loss of such an exceptional man. I will think of him while riding through the winding roads in Texas.God bless his family and loved ones.

In 1982, Bryon and I became Marine Corps brothers. We served in the Marines together during Bryon's entire enlistment. In 1984, we won third place in the Marine Corps Super Squad Competition. This was the last year that they let the best infantry squads in the Marine Corps travel to Quantico, Virginia to compete. Our fire team members were Bryon Weiss (Oxbaker), Ed Frank (EeeeJayyyy), Rusty Pankovich, and myself (Hobiecat).

Shortly after the competition, Bryon came home with me to Dallas for recruiter's assistance. We did so good recruiting we were able to stay for 45 days. During this time, Bryon became part of my family. My parents claimed another son, and my brothers and sister gained a new brother. Bryon became part of our family almost instantly with his kind heart and outgoing personality. He simply fit right in.

To Bryon's family……….Thank you so much for sharing Bryon with me and my family.

To Vick, Mike, and the rest of Bryon's stuntman family…………our family knows how great you treated Bryon. I cannot put into words the appreciation we have….you guys are wonderful.

Bryon will always have a special place in my heart. I met him in the late 1970's when he came to bale hay & straw for my father. Bryon was the type of person that leaves a lasting impression. His smile, kindness, and good heart always shined. I'm glad we were able to visit while at Molly's restaurant in April 2013. We are deeply saddened by the news of your loss. We were blessed to meet Bryon through my sister Robin and brother n law Bernie Weiss and have precious lasting memories. He was so kind and funny and adored his family. Bryon also taught me never tell a stun man he drives like a girl scout when you are in the passenger seat. My sympathy to all of Bryon's family.  Bryon and I was in the same class at Mississinawa Valley. I had not see or talked with Bryon for 30 years until we met up again at our 30th class reunion two years ago.  It was nice to meet you Laura and see and talk with Bryon after 30 years. It was refreshing to see Bryon had not changed....still smiling and still having kind words to say about me and everyone in our class.  You have indeed left a positive mark on this earth.

I knew Bryon during high school. I was on the Indiana side and we would go to Jeff Spences house to play b-ball. Then while in the Marine Corps we met in the bottom of a ship going to San Francisco and we were talking to each other without recognizing each other because of the hair cuts, we got to talking about where we were from until finally figuring out we knew each other. it was pretty funny. I am proud to have known and worked with Bryon on a number of projects over the years and knew him to be one of the true Good Guys in the FIlm and Television Industry.  His expertise as a Stunt Man was well known to the community, as was his courage, humor, loyalty, and endless sense of respect and wonder for his Craft.  I was honored to play the lead in the short film MIDNIGHT EXPRESSIONS he directed in the late 1990's and got tickled each time he would call out with his trademark "Very nice!" Bryon will also be remembered as an outstanding Father and Husband and as a fantastic example to all the younger Stunt Men coming up for how to balance your personal and professional life and smile through it all.  You will be deeply missed, Brother.  Rest In Peace.

I'm so very sorry that Bryon has lost his battle with cancer.  His strength, dignity and grace in his fight were incredibly admirable.  He chose to live life to the fullest as long as his body would allow it.  I know he brought such light to your lives.
