Bryce Mikal McClerkin, age 24 of Arlington, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2019. He was born on May 28, 1994 in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of James and Melissa (Lewis) McClerkin. Bryce was a 2013 graduate from Summit High School and was most recently working to obtain his CDL with Halliburton. Growing up, Bryce enjoyed playing sports and was active in Football and Soccer. Bryce had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh, always bringing a smile to everyone around him. His greatest past time was the time he spent with his family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Bryce is survived by his parents James and Melissa; brothers James McClerkin II, and Derek McClerkin and wife Myia; nieces and nephews Noah-Cross McClerkin, Atia McClerkin, Kennen McClerkin, Karena McClerkin, Noah McClerkin, Katelyn McClerkin, James McClerkin III, and Jade Barr; and a great niece, Kada-Lee McClerkin; uncles Aaron Lewis and wife Kelly, and William Lewis; aunts Betty McClerkin and Edith Howard; a special cousin Waneta Durham (AKA Sister Beverly); and numerous friends and extended family. Bryce was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sharon Lewis, uncles Jerome Howard, Steve Douglass, and Michael Douglass.
Visitation will be 10:00am-12:00pm on Friday, February 15 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, Arlington. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm on Friday, also at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Hawkin’s Cemetery.
