Bobby Joe Hitt

Bobby Joe Hitt of Chandler, Texas passed away Thursday July 11, 2019 at the age of 76. He was born November 13, 1942 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Joseph Jackson and Dorothy Willene Bishop Hitt. He married June Hallman on June 25th, 1976 and recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary. He was a lover of dancing and a natural fisherman. As a charter member, he was an avid participant of Lake Palestine United Methodist Church.

Bobby Joe Hitt is survived by his wife June Hitt, sister Jayne Wheeler, son Joseph R. Hitt and wife Terry Hitt, son Kenneth A. Hitt and wife Helga Hitt, daughter Sandra K. Hitt Duncan and husband Don Duncan, stepson Kevin A. Hallman and husband Ian Hallman, six grandchildren Katie Hitt, Melanie McCall, Colby Hitt, Madalyn Duncan Huynh, Dylan Duncan, Taylor Hallman, and two great grandchildren Reila S. Rios and Dalton L. Hitt and nieces Tammy Thompson and Diana Moore.

A celebration of life of Bobby Joe Hitt will be held Sunday July 14th at Lake Palestine United Methodist Church at 1:00pm. Potluck lunch will be served after the service. Visitation will be Monday July 15th at the Moore Funeral Home at 1219 N. Davis Street in Arlington, Texas from 10:00- 12:00pm. Burial will be at 2:00pm at Parkdale Cemetery on Mary Street in Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Memorial Brick Fund at LPUMC.
