Betty was born in Borger, Texas on February 23, 1931. A true Texas girl, she was very proud of her heritage, but did not appreciate the stormy weather her home state could bring. Everyone who knew Betty was aware of her love for jokes, both in telling and hearing them, reading, and vanilla shakes. Nothing brought her more joy than her family and spending time with them is what she valued the most.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life and her soulmate, David.
Betty is survived by her children, Phillip Sparkman and Diana Gunstream, her best friend of 18 years, Bobbie Griffith, as well as many other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
