Betty Jane Ellis Ritter was born November 27, 1923 in Fort Worth, Texas to Dewey Ellis and Bess Bobo Ellis. She served in the Navy where she met, and later married John T Ritter. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1998. Betty passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Bryan, Texas at the age of 92. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. Private family inurnment will follow at a later date in DFW National Veterans Cemetery. Survivors include three children, Becki Villareal, John Ritter, and Lisa Blessing.
