Bettie R. Vaughn

Born 11/29/1929 and passed away 11/20/2022

She was born in Hillsboro, Texas. She was from a large family of four brothers and 4 sisters, of whom she was the youngest child of nine. She lived in Waco, Texas after graduation from Waco High School until she married John Vaughn and relocated to Arlington, Texas where she resided until 2021 when she moved to Weatherford, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Vaughn, and her parents and her 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children; Velda Wade and husband Mitchell of Weatherford Texas,

Carolyn Wallace and husband Jim of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Grandchildren; Jennifer Nikstaitis and husband Art, and their children Colton, Parker, and Jase of Granbury, Texas, Jason Bean and wife Becca, and their children Daniel and Michael of Plano, Texas, Shawn Wade of Barrington, Illinois.

Many friends from her church, neighbors, and care center.

Bettie especially loved to garden, cook, and study the Bible. Bettie was a woman of strong Christian faith and was a member of Stonewater Church in Granbury, Texas and a prior long-time member of First Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas on

December 2, 2022, at 2:00 following visitation at 1:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Stonewater Church Veteran Ministry, Granbury, Texas.
