Bettie was a gracious hostess for our FWDP painting group years ago.  She was my "secret sister" one year and gave me the most beautiful painted apron and a painted lacy Christmas ornament that I hung on a wall in my room where I can see it all the time.  She was a special lady. Connie Alexander

I remember the Brandon's living down the street when we were growing up. Nancy was our friend and co-conspirator in all the trouble we got into. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Bettie and I went to different high schools in Knoxville, TN, back in the 1940's - early 1950's.  But we had to come to Texas to meet.  She and I planned a Christmas Party for the Arlington Bluebonnet Decorative Painters 1995 with a Tennessee Country Christmas theme.  She painted a Minnie Pearl and Coal Miner's Daughter dolls for door prizes.  She painted beautiful roses.  I am so glad our lives crossed for a number of years as decorative painters. Bettie and her husband hosted a "paint-in" at their home for the Fort Worth Decorative Painters many years ago.  They were so gracious to our big group.  We had tables set up all over the house for the painters!  I painted fruit on a t-shirt that I still have.  It represents fun times with fun people.

She will be missed!
