Audrey Rita Andersen

Audrey Rita Andersen passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 93 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph’e Edmond Pellerin and Mary Ella Daspit; brother, Roland Pellerin; sister, Rada Mae Thibodeaux; son-in-law David Christian; and husband, Edward (Sonny) Andersen.

She was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, on March 11, 1922 and over the course of time her family moved to Port Arthur, Texas, where she met and married Edward (Sonny) Andersen on June 23, 1940. Audrey was a homemaker and mother.

She leaves behind her daughter, Beverly Christian, grandchildren Lee Manning and wife Monica, Holly Lockett and husband Daren, two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Zachary Kursteiner; and daughter, Jo Ann MacKay and husband Richard, grandson Chad Shipman and wife Eileen, and great-grandsons Andersen (Andy) Shipman and Nicholas Santistevan.

Audrey's internment service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Wall of Remembrance at Sunset Funeral Home at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.

All attendees are invited to lunch hosted by the family after the service at Los Barrios Mexican Restaurant, 4223 Blanco Road, San Antonio, Texas 78212.
