Andrew Gomez

Andrew “Boogie” Gomez, age 60, passed away on October 24, 2023 in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on October 3, 1963 to Alexander & Rosa Gomez, who instilled in him the values that defined his character & shaped the man he became.

Andrew left behind a legacy of service, love, & family. Andrew was raised in Grand Prairie, Texas on Avenue A. His life was marked by dedication, both to his country and to those he held dear. Andrew proudly served in the United States Army as a Specialist for four years, distinguishing himself as a skilled helicopter mechanic. His commitment to duty and honor during his military service was a testament to his love for his country.

He shared seven years of marriage with his wife, Jacqueline Gomez. Together, they share one daughter, Rose Anahi Gomez.

His family & friends will always remember him as a straightforward man with a blunt sense of humor. He was a tough guy with a good heart. His legacy lives on through the love and memories he shared with everyone who knew him.

Andrew's love extended to his children, Keoni, Sierra, & Anahi. As a grandfather, Andrew delighted in his two grandsons Emmanuel & Alejandro Gomez.

Andrew's family circle extends to his siblings, nieces, nephews, & many friends, all of whom will remember him for his perseverance, tough love, humor, and unwavering loyalty.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alexander and his brother, Chris.

Survived by his wife, Jacqueline, his children, Keoni, Sierra and Anahi, his mother, Rosa Gomez, & his siblings, Armando, Mary, Alexander, Deborah, Ambrosio, Jorge, Cynthia & Norma.
