Celebration of life: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials: in his honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
Allen was born Dec. 21, 1927, in El Reno, Okla., to Allen and Evalyn Patterson. He was a beloved and very active longtime member of Fielder Road Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and chairman of the deacons. Allen was very influential in the acquisition of the land where Fielder Road Baptist Church stands today.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ethel Sawyer Patterson.
Survivors: He is survived by wife, Lucy Myer Patterson; sister, Evalyn Upchurch; brother, Nelson Patterson; son, Dale Patterson; daughters, Dianna Hurtado, Deborah Schkade; four granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
