Alice was born on June 7, 1952 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Joe and Ernestine Frank Guillory. One of twelve kids she was surrounded by the love her brothers and sisters. She graduated from Washington High School.
In November 1970 Alice joined the Air Force. She attended Technical School at Shepard AFB Wichita Falls, Texas for training. She was assigned to the Hospital Commandas as a medical Material Specialist.
In May 1971, Alice’s first assignment was to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. On August of 1971 she met her love and husband for life, Robert Smith. They were married in October 1974.
June of 1976, Alice gave birth to their only child, a son, Robert Jr., this was one of the greatest joys of her life. She cherished their son and loved him dearly to the end. Alice and Robert shared a unique sense of humor, always joking with each other. Example: Alice was glad to give birth to their child in her home state of Louisiana (Shreveport, Louisiana), when the time arrived to go to the hospital, Robert joked and said “OK let’s drive across the state line to Texas and have the baby!” Robert is a Texan, she laughed. It’s a 20 minute drive from the Louisiana state line to the Texas state line.
Alice was baptized in December of 1991. Her conduct was important in motivating her husband to study with the witnesses. She loved the truth and Jehovah from the heart. She was active in The Field Ministry for many years. Her love for the brothers and sisters was always on display. Having strong faith, Alice believed that thru her sickness, Jehovah would be there for her, that truth helped her to endure. She knew that Jehovah was always there while on her sick bed.
Alice leaves behind her husband, Robert; son, Robert Jr.; grandchildren, Kailee, Jaedyn, and Gabreilla Smith; step-son, Byron Craig Smith; step-daughter, Arica Hawkins; her siblings Alvin, Eugene; sisters, Merina, Elvina, Evelyn, Theresa, Sarah, and Gloria; along with a host of sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
