Adriana Cornelia Lamb

Adriana was born to Philibertus (Philip) and Adriana deRegt. Her siblings were Petronella, Johanna, Philiberta, and Maurits . They were born in Rotterdam, Holland. Adriana being a sickly child spent much of her early years living with her beloved Grandparents the Wolffenspergers. In the early years she survived smallpox’s, flu, and tuberculous. Her father was a Naval architect. Due to a strike her father lost his job and moved to America, where he secured a government job as a Naval architect. When Adriana recovered from tuberculous the rest of her family boarded a ship for America, passing by Ellis Island. She spent long hours reading immersing herself in English.

Highlight of these years included a Rudy Vallee. Concert. A Duke, a friend of her father, escorted her to the hottest spots in New York including the famous 21 Club. During the depression she worked at Woolworth, where she met her husband, Thyele M.Lamb. They married and had three sons Thomas, Anthony, and Richard.

Thyele secured a government job. As the boys enter their teens, Thyele worked in Denmark, England, France, Germany and Italy. Where the family experienced the wonders of each country. Their son Thomas had three children, Thomas, Michael, and Belinda(Mother:Vera Engelin). Giving Adriana four great grandchildren Garrett and Steen Lamb (Mother: Kimberly Hicks) and Christian and Nina Hansen (Father:Don Hansen). Their son Anthony had two children, Richard and Tonya (Mother: Janice Conrad). Giving Adriana another two great grandchildren Ariel and Brooke Warren(Father:Cameron Warren). In 1977 they moved to Grand Prairie, Texas to be close to Anthony's family.

Adriana was proceeded in death by her husband, Thyele, and son, Thomas.

Adriana was a very kind, loving, nurturing, and generous woman. She was a survivor, living to 97, with her only regret outliving so many of her loved ones. Yet, she always seemed to get a new breath of life with each new baby she was able to share her love. She had an exciting, celebrated life and will be greatly missed.
