Abbe’s strength and courage throughout a long battle with her illness was inspirational to many, we're sure. She seemed more comfortable speaking of her trials and condition than many of those around her who cared, but sometimes didn't have the words to say so as much.
We'll never forget that wonderful Texas/NM accent she used to project that genuine 'folksy' attitude that she wore and lived so well. 
Our deepest sympathies to Bob, Stone and all her family; and prayer for comfort that only God can provide.

Abbe was an amazing person and what a remarkable life. I feel so lucky that I got to know her.
She had such a big heart and was always ready willing and able to help everyone she knew. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and Stone and if there is anything you need, we are here for you.

To Robert and Stone,
Abby was such a warm, loving soul that I loved so very much. She was open and caring to all she met and she left her mark on so many lives. Everyone she met felt drawn to her. I observed her love of Stone as he grew up, even when Stone left Butler she continued to visit and check on us. 
When she shared her health issues with us, the Butler Family was there for her in prayer. She knew this and as she fought her earthly affliction she showed US what true faith and love was. 
I considered her a friend and I want to live my life just like Abby... with dignity and grace. She loved you both and wanted you to be ok when her time had come. My prayers and thoughts are with you both.

Bob and Stone,
     There aren't words adequate enough to express my sorrow on the passing of your wife and mother. Abbe was one of the sweetest, nicest, funniest people God gave me the privilege of knowing. Any day Abbe stopped by my office at Butler Elementary instantly made it a better day.  Please know I am thinking of you during this time and asking God to comfort you in your sorrow.
