William B. Borst Jr.

William (Bill) was the beloved husband of the late Ann R. (McAbee) Borst for 65 years; loving father of Scott (Jan), Jeffrey (Candy), William B. III (Linda) and Mark (Wendy); cherished grandfather of Sarah (Blake) Gordon, Kevin (Lauren), Brittany (Stephen) Park, Becky (Alex) Piering, Brian, Ben (Shauna), Erica (Matt) Lynch, Billy IV (Kristin), Nicole (Nick) Meersman, Kyle, Gabrielle, Emmitt, Sophie, Amelia and Elijah; great-grandfather of Carly, Caleb, Jackson, Noah, Jordan, Cameron, Claire and Brady; dear brother of Gretchen (Ted) Tetreault and uncle to Todd (Celeste) Tetreault.

Bill graduated from Purdue University in 1955 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation Bill proudly served in the US Navy until he started his career as a chemical engineer with UOP, where he not only enjoyed a fulfilling professional life that took him to various countries around the world, but also rewarded him with friendships that lasted a lifetime. Bill eventually retired after 40 years with UOP. In his free time, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and participating in his church choir. He also was a big believer in giving back to his community spending many years as a member of the Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights. Rotary Clubs. At one point receiving an award for attending consecutive meetings without an absence over 30+ years.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Street, Arlington Heights.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights would be appreciated.
