Terry Leonard

of Arlington Heights

Terrence Eugene Leonard was born December 9, 1939 in Evanston to Eugene and Catherine (nee Preib) Leonard. He died Monday, May 6, 2024 in Elk Grove Village.

Mr. Leonard received his BA from Notre Dame in South Bend, master’s degree from Northwestern University in Evanston and received his Law Degree from Loyola University in Chicago. He worked as a Personal Injury Law Attorney, for "Terrence E. Leonard Chartered” in Chicago. Terry was a member of the St. James Choir and performed in many St. James musicals. He loved playing softball and running, was an avid golfer and achieved a third degree black belt in taekwondo. Terry also enjoyed playing a guitar and was a die hard Cubs fan even attending the cubs fantasy camp in Arizona. Terry deeply loved his children, grandchildren and all of his black labs.

Terry is survived by his spouse Donna (nee Ibison), whom he married May 6, 1967 in Chicago; children, Kelly (Brian) Brown, Erin Leonard and Gene (Courtney) Leonard; grandchildren, Mary Kirleis, Kenny Kirleis, Dayton Brown, Tacy Brown, Lizzie Leonard, Sarah Leonard and Amelia Leonard; sister, Genie (John) Conway; Nephews, John (Jenny) Conway and Kevin Conway and many special cousins.

Memorial Visitation, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Memorial Service 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
