Roy is survived by his loving wife Kathy (nee Morello), sons Sean (Kellie) and Ryan. He will also be greatly missed by his beloved sister Ellen (Jim), brother Ray (Kelly) and brother in law Jimmy Morello. Roy was the cherished grandfather of Landon, Beckett, Adelynn and the proud uncle of Jeff and Patrick Hecker, and Megan Baker, Evan and Cole Meister and Michael, Joe and Amy Morello. Roy was preceded in death by his father Jacque Meister and mother Margaret (nee Klatt) as well as his nephew, Jordan Meister and sister in law, Carol Morello.
Though a man of few words, Roy’s actions spoke for themselves. He was known for his incredible work ethic and was always seen working around the house as well as helping others with side projects. He worked at AT&T for 38 years, retiring from his manager role at the spry age of 56.
When he wasn’t hard at work in the telecommunications field, he was always working around the house. There was nothing Roy couldn’t fix. Roy also started a business - 2EM – with his son Sean, managing rental properties. This was something Roy and Sean enjoyed doing together. Roy found time to enjoy boating, owning a Corvette, going out to breakfast with family and friends, and sitting out on his deck while enjoying a good book.
A memorial visitation will take place at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E.
