Richard Allan Amundsen, 86, of Glenview, Illinois, died Friday May 18, 2012. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 64 years, Gloria; son, Bill; son, Tom and wife Debra; four granddaughters, Kimberly, Melanie, Kristin and Erica; and three great-grandchildren. He was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was born in Chicago in 1925, and spent 35 years working for Illinois Bell. He was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean wars.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 1, 2012 at Memory Gardens, 2501 East Euclid, Arlington Heights, IL.
