Dear Aunt Sue,

A truly great man has passed and I will miss him dearly. He always made me laugh and was such a kind hearted person that helped a lot of people get on the right path in life.

Dear Jana Lynn,  I am very saddened to hear of Ray's passing. It has been a long time since being in contact with Ray but I will always remember him for his professionalism and great sense of humor. I met Ray while at E.F. MacDonald in Dayton way back in the late 70's . He was a joy to know and certainly added a lot of enjoyment to our work. I am grateful for having known him. With my deepest condolences,  I send along my sympathy to you and family.

Ray helped teach me the Hyatt Hotel  incentive Salees business and learned to make laughter important part of sales -  Glad to have known him briefly. he sure made work life fun. Will have an Irish toast and blessing! .Dan Brown

Jana Lynn, Ray taught  me how to  deal with life with a sense of humor while still addressing  serious problems  head  on.  When I lived closer I remember playing golf  with Ray  in Arlington Heights in the snow.  He was a wonderful  story teller and taught a lot of us that way.

I first met Ray at the then Hyatt Hotels National Sales office in Chicago in 1976. He had a way of making an instant connection with you...so personable and just an infectious sense of humor. We bonded instantly on several levels but had all too infrequent contact over the years once I was transferred with Hyatt that brought me to my present location of Dallas, TX. When we did connect, the intervening time melted away. I will so miss his generous heart and loving soul more than words can say.... my deepest condolences to his entire family. A truly wonderful man has passed from our midst.

My thoughts are with all of you. I know your memories will make you and smile. I worked for Ray at Hyatt and he taught me a lot. When I saw a couple if years ago at the Hyatt reunion in Chicago he looked great and he had that terrific smile and laugh. He told me many stories about his growing and how proud he was of all of you. I remember when he met you Jana Lynn and told everyone how beautiful you are. Take care and God bless!

Ray always said "the goal for us is cloud 4 1/2". We all know that today he is on cloud 9.  Ray will always be one of my heroes.

Jana Lynn - this is Pete Simpson, Bob Simpson's son, and a fellow Arington Heights resident. On behalf of my Mom, and the rest of my family, and most especially my Dad, who loved Ray like a brother, I want to express my sincerest condolences to you and your family.  Ray was one of my dad's favorite people and was a legend in the Simpson household. I know that Ray made a huge difference in many people's lives. He will be missed.
