I’ll never forget our spaghetti sundays at the house in BG. You teaching all the big kids how to eat spaghetti with a fork and tons of cheese, the endless stock of cream soda. The hundreds of pictures we all made for u and grandma on all the family get togethers. The naps you encouraged me to take on your bed while I was pregnant with the boys. And my fondest memory of all, every time I’d walk in the door you had the biggest smile and you’d say “there’s nikki pooh” no matter how young or old I was. I miss u grandpa, and I’m so grateful to have had a grandpa like you. And I sincerely appreciate your role in raising my father to be the man he is, because I couldn’t ask for a better dad. I love u so much, thank u for all the laughs, all the lessons and all the memories you gave all of us.

There are so many memories, but one of my favorites is  when we went with  Mom, Aunt Rose, and Tim to Hollywood Casino for all you can eat crab legs . I think we ate a whole ocean that night!  I loved seeing you get excited to gamble too!  I remember Tim and I laughing to try to catch up with you in the casino. You were a wonderful man and your legacy will live on with all your kids.  They each have one  your wonderful  traits, so you will live on forever! Love you  xoxoxoxoxo

I am proud to say I have had the privilege of knowing Pat for over 40 years. His daughter has been my best friend since age 5. That being said I can say Pat was a very palpable pulse in his home. If he wasn't joking, he was singing....And if he was hollering, you knew it was just the Italian love language...❤️
Pat was the type to be willing to lay down his life for his family. His love for them was and will always be immeasurable...a true gift. 
You've fought the good fight here on earth. Rest In Peace Pat. 🕊

Aimee and family

In the last days of Dad's life I held his and I thought about how hard those hands worked to support Mom and six kids.  We went to Catholic schools and lived in a small house in Chicago for much of my childhood . Dad worked hard and set the example for all of us to do the same. He could fix anything, build anything and taught us to be the same way. Anything worth doing was worth doing right. A bit of him lives in all of us and his strong work ethic, good morals, high standards and unique sense of humor can even be seen in his Grandchildren as well. It makes me happy to hear my daughter making up silly songs throughout the day as he always did. Also, I now see my son working very hard just like his Grandpa always did. As my Mom says, he was a strong presence. I already feel his absence heavily.  I am confident he knows how we cared for him as we all know he cared for us, because he showed it always. I am grateful to my parents for having a large family as we lean on each other even more at this difficult time. I am told the pain never goes away,  but I feel comforted in knowing we were all together in Dad's last days and when he took his last breath. 
You were never alone.  I also know this isn't the end, and someday we will be together again when this life is over.

As a friend of his sister Rose I often had lunch with Pat . I found him to be funny  and a great person.  My sympathy to the family.
