October 21, 1931 - November 30, 2019
Joseph (Joe) Bernard Busch, born on October 21, 1933, passed away on November 30, 2019, on to forever join his family and friends in the house of the Lord, his shepherd.
He lived each day joyously with his loving wife, two children and granddaughter. He had a smile that always proclaimed strength, comfort and love and his laughter that conveyed care and compassion.
Joe was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived with his parents, Emmett and Madeline until he was drafted in the United States Army where he served in Korean conflict. He was an radio operator and was also stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska with his loving wife, Marilyn. Children were born and he flourished in the Chicago Public Schools as a band director and then moved onto Real Estate sales. During that entire time, he also played the drums at every chance he could get and was in the Musicians Union. This was his life’s passion.
He became involved in the franchise business at a company named Francorp, Incorporated with his good friend, Donald Boroian who owned the company. Joe stayed with Francorp until his retirement. They presented him with a sailboat named Cheers as a retirement present. The boat, Cheers was his next lifetime hobby in which he shared with his wife, Marilyn along with their love to travel.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Joyce Busch (Pelkey); his daughter, Janet Cary Monahan (Busch), his son, Joseph (Joey) Paul Busch: and his granddaughter, Lauren Monahan.
