John S. Gardner, age 86, passed away on January 19th, 2023 in Arlington Heights, IL. He was born on November 9th, 1936 to Alice and Alfred Gardner.
He is survived by his children Patrick “Rick” (Cade) Fields-Gardner and Nancy (Bruce) Bermann and his grandchildren Karl, Hans and Max Bermann.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Gardner, his brother Paul and his parents.
John was an avid sportsman and fierce competitor who enjoyed tennis, golf and bridge. He had a long career as a respected high school math teacher and was a great father and mentor to his children.
Visitation will be held at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL on February 4th from 10am to 12pm.
