Frederick F. Nemeth, 98 of Schaumburg peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 15, 2021 following a brief illness. He was born in South Bend, IN and spent most of his growing up years in New Castle, IN. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps for 3 ½ years during WWII in the South Pacific area of the war. When back home, he attended Business College at Indiana University’s South Bend campus. Later he worked for the Amoco/BP Corporation for 37 years, holding a number of sales and marketing positions. He retired in 1984. Fred lived in Atlanta, Georgia for the past 45 years and was a longtime member of Peachtree Church, North Perimeter Optimist Club and American Legion. He progressed through life with hard work, integrity, faith and a great love for family and friends.
Fred was the beloved husband of the late Betty Jo (Wallace) Nemeth and they were married for 74 years before her death in 2020. He was the loving father of Robert F. (Terri) Nemeth, David W. (Nanci Done) Nemeth and the late Shirley Chauvin; cherished grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 13; dear brother of the late Oscar Louis Nemeth and Walter Julius Nemeth and is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
