Farro "Ed" Assadi passed away quietly at his home on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was born in Masjed Soleyman to Asma and Ali Assadi Pour Fard; both parents preceded him in death. He was married to his beloved wife, Jeraldine K. Assadi, who also preceded him in death. Farro and Jeri were together for over forty years, and their love was admirable.
Ed was the youngest of 10 children and was devoted to his mother. He started carrying around marbles in his pocket at the age of three which no doubt led to his love of physics leading to his career as an engineer. He was a dedicated public servant with more than 30 years of service at the Environmental Protection Agency. He was known for his sharp intellect, dry sense of humor, and his love for his wife. While he did not have children of his own, he was a thoughtful and caring stepfather.
A celebration of life service will be held in Ed's honor from 2 pm to 4 pm on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Lauterburg- Oehler funeral home, 2000 East Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
