Elisabeth Michel was born on August 3, 1930, in Ukraine to Karl and Emilie (nee Wendelberger) Benesch. She died on September 23, 2023, at the Mt. Prospect Senior Living Center surrounded by her loving family.
Elisabeth is survived by her son Edmund (Patricia) Michel and her daughter Inge (Michael) Whalen; her grandchildren Matthew (Jaclyn) Michel, Eric (Abbie Hamilton) Michel, Sean Whalen and Timothy (Melissa) Whalen as well as her great-grandchildren Grace Whalen and Benjamin Whalen.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Viktor Michel, her parents as well as her siblings Paulina Essig, Karl Benesch, Rudy Benesch, Johann Benesch, Ludwig Benesch, Joseph Benesch and Otto Benesch.
Visitation on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Graveside Services will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
