Eileen June Solsberger

Eileen June Solsberger, 81 of Lake Zurich was born on February 21, 1943 in Chicago to the late Carl and Grace (nee Wohler) Vecchio and passed away on December 16, 2024. Eileen was the beloved wife to the late Frederick “Paul” Solsberger; Cherished mother to the late Pamela (Chuck) Dietzel nee Galvin; loving sister to Carl (Deborah) Vecchio, Ruth Vecchio, Lucille (Raymond) Pagels, and Suzanne (Robert) Bilotti; loving god-mother to Robin Pehlke and Jason Pagels; and fond aunt to Jason Pagels, Jeffrey and Nicole Bilotti, and Jaclyn Pagels; and fond aunt to many great nieces and nephews.

Eileen possessed the unique ability to make friends easily. She literally brought joy to everyone she knew. She took a great deal of pride in her independence, never asking anyone for help except Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, who she deeply loved.

Even though Eileen and her husband, Paul never smoked cigars, they owned and operated the Aroma Cigar Store located in Gurnee Mills Shopping Center, Gurnee, Illinois. An interesting fact about Eileen is that she was a very private person who knew many people, but few actually knew the real Eileen.

Eileen’s love for dance and the theatre brought her great joy, she particularly enjoyed performing at Dell Webb’s Sun City Theatre in Huntley, Illinois and was in many of their productions.

Eileen June Solsberger lived a full life of love and laughter. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those that knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of joy. She will be profoundly missed as a woman who truly knew how to live, laugh and love to the fullest.

A visitation for Eileen will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W Olive St, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at church. Interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery, 7800 Irving Park Rd, Norridge, IL 60706.
