Edward John Walsh

Edward John Walsh, 86, formerly of Arlington Heights was born on December 5, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Charlotte (nee Moakler) Walsh. He died Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at JourneyCare at Northwest Community Hospital, in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Before retiring, Edward was in advertising sales for Fairchild Publications. He was an avid sports fan especially of Notre Dame Football and the Chicago White Sox. He enjoyed organizing family parties and events. Some of his other interests were golf, reading, travel, all kinds of music, and playing and teaching poker with his family.

Edward is survived by Teresa nee McGinley; his daughters Kelley (Larry Joe) O'Hern, Maureen (Glenn) Pecht, and Kristine (Marty) Ward; his grandchildren, Patrick (Lauren), Timothy (Claire), Daniel (Abbie), and Matthew (Jacki) O'Hern, Stephanie and Julie (Fiancé Frank) Pecht, Eddie, Bridget, and Danny Ward; his eight great grandchildren; his sister Erin (Dan) Kelly; his brothers-in-law Jim McGinley, Jack Adams, and Bill Richards; and his many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Charlot Richards; his sisters-in-law Mary Jo Adams and Judy McGinley.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of funeral Mass at 10:00 am Saturday, February 18, 2023, at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arl. Hts., IL 60004. Interment following at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
