She graduated from Marywood HS "46, Mundelein College, "50 and taught school in the Chicago public and Catholic school systems. In 1952, Pat married Judge Gerald S. She had a way of meeting you where you were, mentally, spiritually and emotionally, and making you feel at home and comforted. Her kindness and her vivacious, friendly personality were the joy of any gathering. Pat gave up her teaching career in 1956 to devote full time to her family, but as her children grew older she worked for 18 years at Glenview State Bank where she often had the tellers laughing and would have loyal customers lined up to chat with her. After retirement, she helped home-school her grandchildren, a third career of which she was most proud. Her devotion to her family was well known, and her children continue to love her intensely. An active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Parish, she was a daily communicant and served The Lord teaching religious education to children and working in ministries to shut-ins, the elderly, homeless, and the poor. Many people have been inspired by her exemplary example of Catholic womanhood, her adventurous spirit, and her outgoing sense of virtuous fun. Pat had a particular devotion to the Virgin Mary. She truly lived her faith.A wake will be held Sunday July 19th, from 3-7 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
