Dolores Arado

The family of Dolores Marie Arado (nee Ladendorf) of Arlington Heights, Illinois, is saddened to announce her passing on August 17, 2024 at 89 years of age, just shy of her 90th birthday by 17 days. Dolores is preceded by her husband August (Gus) Arado, Jr., her father, George John, her mother Marie Elizabeth and her older brother, George Walter. Dolores is survived by 3 nephews and 3 nieces, Paul Ladendorf (Judy), Mark Ladendorf (Karen), Matt Ladendorf (Katie), Karin Snyder (Roger), Julie Sawicki-Reninger (James), Lisa Kaberlein (Mike). Dolores was an avid gardener, true lover of nature and all animals, with a special fondness for dogs. Dolores and Gus didn't have children, but they were loving Aunt and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Their friendships were long lasting and special to both. Her energized spirit and willingness to be an interesting conversationalist will be dearly missed. She always enjoyed a good meal and always had room for a little something sweet after. She had a style all her own and exceeded at all things she put her hands to. She was one of a kind and the last of her era.
