Daniel was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 10, 1954, to parents Robert and Madonna (nee Berube) Boncher.
Daniel's life was marked by profound curiosity and a passion for learning, qualities that he shared generously through his profession and personal interests.
Dan was a graduate of Purdue University (BSEE) and Oklahoma State University (MSIE). He also served in the United States Air Force, reflecting his dedication and commitment.
His career spanned various roles, including engineering, IT project management, and consulting. He also taught graduate-level courses at Keller Graduate School of Management.
Dan was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, IL, where he was actively involved in men’s Bible study, taught Sunday School and Confirmation, and also served as head of the usher committee.
Dan enjoyed golf, boating, and traveling, pursuits that brought him great joy. He shared these passions with friends and family, creating lasting memories during their time together. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his second wife, Patricia (nee Campbell) Boncher, his son, Brian (Dasha Zabara) Boncher, his daughter, Christine (Roman) Savchenko, his grandchildren, Cameron Boncher, Kyra Savchenko, and Brielle Savchenko, and his sisters, Nanette (Darrin) Lester and Sharon Boncher.
Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Cheryl (nee Petersen) Boncher, his parents, and siblings, Richard Boncher, Robert John Boncher, Michael Boncher, and Terilyn Kozy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. all at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL.
