Corrine L. Doland

Corrine Lillian Doland, age 89, of Buffalo Grove, IL passed on July 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 27, 1934 in Cicero, IL to Raymond and Mary (Pacana) Matthis. She graduated from Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, IL.

In 1953, she married William (Bill) C. Doland. Together, they celebrated 48 years of marriage, raising nine children, before his passing in 2002. While being an integral part of the establishment of Bill's business in 1967, her most valued roles were as a homemaker, mother and grandmother. From phone calls to social media, she loved keeping up with her grandchildren's activities. Holidays and family celebrations always featured her home cooking.

Corrine considered her friends as extended family. She was an avid flower gardener, known for her sharp intellect, kind nature and her deep love of life.

Corrine was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and a granddaughter, Jaclyn Knewitz.

She is survived by her sister, Arlene (George) Tistle; children, Arlene (John) Knewitz, Bill (William) Doland, Carol Weber, Diane (Jim) Rosemeyer, Elissa Doland, Frank (Karen) Doland, Ginna (Joe) Podge, Harlan (Cristy) Doland, and Jason (Desiree) Doland; grandchildren Dan Knewitz, Scott Knewitz, Megan Silliman-Carroll, Melissa Weber, Meredith Davis, Bill Rosemeyer, Ray Rosemeyer, Mary Clare Rosemeyer, Benjamin Doland, Brian Doland, Paige Doland, Joe Podge, Brad Podge, Mason Doland, Jason Doland, Jr, Lucas Doland, Maggie Doland, and Matthew Doland; and great-grandchildren Simon Knewitz, Lockley Silliman, Leighton Silliman, Crew Davis, Tripp Davis, Harper Podge, Cash Podge, and Mia Podge, along with several nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 10 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL on Saturday, August 3rd. Visitation will be 10-11 am, with mass to follow at 11 am.
