Knowing from the fair program, Christian was kind, loving, and warm especially to Aléna’s son Dan. However, his finest quality was his respect for his elders.

I did not know Christian, but his terrible end has left me very sad.  We live in Rolling Meadows,  too, and we have 2 grown up kids  (36, and 30 ) who also attended Meadows High School. This community shares your pain, I am very sorry for your loss.  May you find strength in each other and in sharing memories of Christian. 

My daughter Robyn played her first year of little league with Chris while his dad coached. He was always one of my favorites being a goofy and fun loving kid. 
My heart aches for you all and I send prayers and strength.

Dear Flood Family ~

The hurting you feel right now is unimaginable, and we are so sorry for your loss. Growing up, I saw and loved Dylan like the little brother I always wanted and wish I would have gotten to know Chris's kind soul better. I remember Chris though from my childhood and recall how much Dylan admired him. I know he loves his brother so much and that Chris is watching over you all. I know Christian and his family from RMYF. Austin played football with him. I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a nice kid. My heart goes out to Chris, Melinda and all his loved ones. There are no words that can properly express the sadness in my heart. 

I met Chris While going to RMHS. Honestly he was a really kind person and had such an amazing energy. I'm sorry for your loss. Chris will be missed. 

Chris is an unforgettable person, his acts of kindness, always respectful, always looking out for every single person he loved and cared about, never had a bad vibe when you were with him, always smiling, he was truly an amazing friend. I considered chris my bestfriend, he had looked out for me in ways nobody has ever, the countless times i could call him and hed be here to pick me up in the blink of an eye, the amounts of times he had picked me up at my lowest and told me to keep pushing, we got really close in highschool fell off for a little bit and jumped right back together like it never happened. the amounts of pep talks wed give eachother, the car rides we took, the countless amounts of time just sitting in my room enjoying eachothers time cracking jokes, listening to him be stuck on that silly english accent he was doing for a while, always calling people "lad" but it was the funniest thing ever and i wish i could hear it one last time. Ill never forget the favorite songs we had together, insecure by moneybagg yo, pride by moneybagg yo, diamonds by young thug, addicted to the fast life by nav. i will never forget chris. every cruise i take on the highway i will forever think of you and the endless memories we made. my prayers go out to the flood family, im so very sorry for your loss chris is resting now and well see him again soon❤ we all love you buddy.

My name is Junior. You may not know me, but I have known Chris since middle school wrestling. I was a year younger than him and also part of the AVID program. In high school, he was my partner at practices as we were around the same weight class. He helped me improve so much, even though I was no where near his skill level. He was so talented and kind. Sophomore year was my last year wrestling and I never really saw him anymore. I went off to Illinois State University after high school. While away at college, my dad would tell me about a kid he’d see at the gym that was in the wrestling program that recognized him and would ask him about me. Chris would check up on me regularly with my dad and ask about my journey away at ISU. The thing is, my dad never gave me a name until I found out about Chris’s passing. My only regret is never knowing who my dad was talking about. I regret never reaching out, and asking how he was or what had he been up to. I hadn’t seen Chris in years, yet he never failed to talk to my dad about me or work out with him. That speaks volumes about who he is and how kind hearted he is. I’ll carry him in my thoughts, just as he had for all these years. You have my condolences, I am so so so sorry for your loss.

Dear Mr and Mrs Flood,

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I met your son, Christian in the F.A.I.R. rehabilitation groups. He was one of the nicest guys in that group by far. Always had a smile on his face and laughing. Never got upset from what the counselors had to say or anybody else in that matter. Your son just had a great soul that outshined the others. One of those individuals that you just wanted to gravitate towards because he made you feel hopeful.  Everybody loved having your son Christian in group.  I didn't talk to Christian very much when I attended F.A.I.R. But, when I did, You knew he was raised right by an amazing family. He is happy now and not suffering from addiction anymore. God bless all of you. You will all be in my prayers.

Growing up, Chris was in many of my elementary and junior high classes and also cheered for him when he played football during those years. Chris always had a smile on his face and had such a contagious laugh. He always was looking for a way to make the people around him as happy and laughing as much as he was. He would always crack jokes during classes and had the most energetic and positive energy. No matter where he went, he had a smile on his face. We would sometimes run in a group to his house after school got out at Kimball Hill because he lived across the street. May he rest soundly. Forever in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts. Keep smiling, Chris. RIP

When I moved here in elementary school, Chris was one of the only people who was actually nice to me. I remember every year on our birthday he would call me his birthday buddy. We were close close for about 2 years, but he never stopped being kind to me. Rest in peace and I have your family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. 

Chris, I'll never forget the kindness you shared with my son when we moved here from Michigan.  You (and actually your family) were the first people we were introduced to.  You took him under your wings and introduced him to all the kids around the block and Kimball Hill.  You sure made it easier for a country boy to fit in to the city life, especially before  starting  junior high.   I am truly thankful to you and you will always be in my heart.

Chris was at our house pretty much every weekend for about a year. He knew I didn’t like when the kids vaped in the house, so he would always yell at them when they did it when I was in the room. It might be a silly memory, but that kid was pretty sweet. He will be missed dearly by me and my family. I cannot attend the service on Thursday, but Chris and your family will be in all my thoughts and prayers. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Chris and I were the same age and I was in classes with him for years from Kimball Hill to RMHS. He always carried such a bright energy and he, and your family, will be in my prayers. I am truly, deeply sorry for your loss and offer my sincerest condolences.

Christian was a true blessing to our family. Our kids always saw him as a big brother and we loved him as one of our own. He was always kind, compassionate and respectful to everyone he crossed paths with. We will never forget the time he always took to make all of our kids feel special and the way he always made all of us smile and laugh. Lil Chris made an indelible mark on our lives and we will always cherish the wonderful memories he gave us. Rest In Peace young man. We love you.

I met Chris at church at a recovery group about four years ago.  He was such a great young man who wanted to better himself and wanted to grow in his faith.  It turned out he knew my daughter from RMHS.  He actually went to church with us and we had lunch with him after  church at Lucky Monk.  When the check came he offered to pay for his meal and of course we didn’t let him.  We enjoyed him sharing about his little brother and his dad and he was a wonderful, respectful young man with a great heart and a love for God.  We lost touch with him over the last few years and are heartbroken for your loss.  You  have our deepest condolences and May God strengthen and comfort each of you during this time.
